The Glenelg pier is an iconic part of the Glenelg foreshore. It's just long enough for a leisurely stroll on a sunny day. The clear water allows you to spot little fish darting around below.

The Bay Discovery Centre has a great and informative museum upstairs. I went on one of the windiest days in Glenelg and it was a nice way to spend my morning! A fascinating insight into how Glenelg and Adelaide was established, Indigenous influence and how both have changed over the years. I never knew Luna Park was in Glenelg! It’s not an overly big museum, but allows you to read all the information on display in each of the sections. The descriptions took me on a journey and allowed me to picture life once upon a time in Glenelg and broader Adelaide. The front desk staff were very helpful and lovely. In fact I stayed and had a lovely chat to them. They are also happy to recommend places for a bite to eat/coffee. I would highly recommend visiting, as you will definitely come away with more knowledge than you came in the door with!

Family friendly, plenty of clean sand and space, lovely space to watch the sunset or picnic. Plenty of activities to watch

Had a fun experience with some friends! Great place to stop for some nachos, pizza or ice cream and play a game of mini-golf or have a sneaky slide session. Best part is they sell cinnamon donuts all year round and make their own ice cream. There were flavours I had never tried before like kinder surprise and Turkish delight and it was delicious! The staff are so kind as well which added to the experience

Taking inspiration from super-premium offerings across Europe and South East Asia, The Moseley Beach Club features a casual dining area, bar, live acoustic music week nights and DJs on the weekend. Commencing in November 2018 and continuing until March 2019, The Moseley Beach Club will provide fun for the whole family with free entry, food and drink options, a kids zone, day beds and sun lounges for you to relax on.
This beach club is amazing. Definitely make a booking to either get sun lounges or a sunbed, the booking fee is used as credit for food/drinks. The service is great, staff were very friendly and accommodating. Great selection of drinks and food and definitely getting your moneys worth. Being able to sit on the beach in a lounge chair while sipping drinks with relaxing music and a great atmosphere, cannot fault this place.

The last tram stop on the run from Adelaide CBD to Glenelg is Mosley Square. This is the central hub of Glenelg. Surrounded by cafes, fast food outlets and a major hotel, it is also home to the Australian Post Office, the Glenelg Pioneer Memorial and the Glenelg Town Hall with historical displays able to viewed at varying times throughout the week. There is easy walking access through to Marina Pier, Holdfast Shores which has a variety of popular cafes and restaurants, Colley Reserve used for many community events is close by as well. The ever-popular Beach House is also here. I enjoyed the casual walk taking in the atmosphere and see what had changed since I was last there. The extremely tall palms seem to have doubled in size – but that is probably my memory not recalling correctly. Jetty Rd, Glenelg also is easily accessible from Mosley Square with many shopping delights. The square features a water feature which randomly shorts water into the air and is an absolute delight to children during the hotter months. Mosley Square is not a destination by itself but more an access point for multiple other destinations in within the Mosley Square precinct. Well worth visiting at the end of a tram ride from the city and deciding where to go from there. Return? Yes definitely specially after a great tram ride.
