Savour the taste of Puglia. We offer wine tastings accompanied by local produce including bruschette, cheeses & cold cuts. Come and visit our historic cantina in the centre of Ginosa. Our wines include sparkling, Malvasia, Primitivo and Passito di Primitivo and we also offer locally-produced oil available for purchase.

Domenico Russo has created a perfect setting for experiencing his delicious wines. Located in the historic town of Ginosa, the tasting room is a beautifully renovated palmento used for making wines more than 200 years ago. Domenico and his wife Luciana offer tastings from their delicious wine portfolio perfectly paired with home made local delicacies. The wines are made from traditional grapes in honest, artisanal style. The Magliolo, made from Primitivo, is not to be missed! White wine lovers will savor the Malvasia. Leave room for the dessert wine, a rare passito of Primitivo. (I bought some bottles to share with friends at home.) Domenico and Luciana make you feel like family! It is a particular treat to be able to speak to Domenico about his vineyards and winemaking process. (His farm and winery are located a short drive outside town--also a worthwhile visit!)

Caffe del Borgo Antico

In the center, there is a unique place of its kind. Other than the usual, outside the box. It 'a bar full of charm and events that fill its wide open spaces. The first room you come across, the properly dedicated to the bar, portends great care in decor, but this hides the best local reserves. Two steps and you are located in the large screened patio interior of the old building that is home to this place.Comfortable wicker chairs and tables surrounded by lush plants, on a pavement of ancient workmanship, but away from the chaos outside. The bright idea to use as a dining patio gives an extra touch to the evening, away from the hectic bustle guests and pampering them hardly found elsewhere. And on the patio overlooking another room, which gives a nod to the familiarity of a rustic and elegant at the same time.If you add to the beauty of the place the friendliness of a staff extremely pleasant and friendly and offer incomparable quality and quantity, here the game is done and with apparent lightness and a few efforts, the overall beauty of a place like this can not not impose it to the attention of those who live , and why not, who will decide, without regret, to spend a few more kilometers a nice evening.
