Why didn't we do this last visit? 5 of us rented the 19 ft boat and headed out to explore the harbor, at our own pace, for the day. It was the best day of our whole vacation. We snorkeled at multiple spots, hung out on peaceful beaches, had a long lunch at the Chat n' Chill and then hit the sandbar at low tide. Returned the boat right at 5pm. The kids and the grown ups all say this was the best thing we did on vacation. Packed our own cooler, and took our own snorkel gear, but they will rent both to you if you need them. So much cheaper than a guided day doing the exact same things. Our boat had shade and boat seats, two large dry boxes. Highly recommend!

We met a gentleman while we were strolling on the beach and he said that particular day was a little windy but often the water there is calm. Calm enough to snorkel to one or more of the "sister rocks".

1st time using water taxi's (typically rent our own boat) but decided on a couple of last minute trips over to Chat n' Chill during our stay. Great service, always on time (even if we weren't!), comfortable ride...would definitely recommend.

It's always interesting to read other reviews for this place. Exuma is a small island so don't expect HUGE selections like at home. Yes, they have all the basics, usually veggies, fruit is hit or miss depending on the Tuesday supply boat. Vegan stuff? You need to bring from home and if you have other specialty dietary needs, you need to do the same. If you check the Exuma forum, I do post grocery prices of what we purchase during our stays.
