Gandria is both a quarter of the city of Lugano in the Swiss canton of Ticino, and a village, on the northern shore of Lake Lugano, which forms the core of that quarter. Until 2004, the quarter of Gandria was an independent municipality, joining with Lugano in that year.

At FlyTicino we organize wonderful paragliding flights in Ticino! We fly because we love paragliding and the joy of sharing emotions with our passengers. No stress, no thoughts about making as many flights as possible and no limit to the duration of the flight! By chasing the right thermal currents, we will try to extend the flight duration as much as possible, to climb in altitude and enjoy with our passengers views that are normally only reserved for the birds!
Flying with Federico is something I highly recommend to anyone who wants to try a new experience, while at the same time being in the hands of a professional and very friendly person - I felt so safe and comfortable with Federico. After me, a friend and my sister also flew with him and they still talk about it today, it was truly an incredible experience for us all. I would definitely do this again, thank you Federico :-)

We visited the Villa Fogazzaro on the recommendation of a friend. It was not mentioned in my guide books to the Italian lakes yet this was the highlight of our trip. We had a private tour in English given by a delightful guide whose passion for the house was evident. The house is in an amazing location and is in pristine condition reflecting the unique story and interests of the previous owners. A rare gem.

Lake Lugano is one of the most Picturesque places in the world. Located with in the Swiss Alps, this year round resort should be a stop on every travelers agenda.

A very special place. The pictures do not really do it justice and the view of a clear day is majestic. You almost feel you are on a plane. Getting here was quite a job through a long and very tortuous road but if you love your high aerial views then this is a must. If you have transport consider also going to near the cable car station at Pigra which has a more limited but similarly spectacular view of Como. Also the platform by the Swiss Flag seems to be a favoured toilet venue for the local goats so best have a sturdy pair of shoes to really comfortably enjoy the views.

This is a fishing village, built into the hillside. You wander the narrow streets, taking stairs as needed, enjoying the ambience and the views of the lake. There is also an "olive walk" that can get you back into town. Accessible by boat and bus as well.

Called in on recommendation from our Tour Manager and very glad we did. Fantastic frescos but simple church still captivates the mind on how old these paintings were.

With the huge doors unlocked we ventured inside the church to be amazed by the beautiful artwork adorning the Church roof and walls. After a short but trip from San Mamete, walk up stairs then through the ally ways and houses to wind up to the Church. This walk would be difficult for travellers with walking difficulties.

We walked to cassarate a couple of times, its nice to walk through the park to get there. The park is well maintained and had beautiful flower beds and trees. There is enough to do, kids can play, there is a Park&Read where you can buy ice cream and drinks, and there is a library! Just walking there gives you a great view over the lake. Loads of opportunities to take pictures :)
