River preserve with trails and day hike facilities.
We have visited The Consumnes River Preserve several times over the past few years on our trips to San Francisco. We have been there in several seasons, some dry and some wet. Last year we had been there in very dry conditions and there were very few birds to see, which was disappointing. In March of this year there was lots of water and lots of bird life. Some of the trails had been flooded and were impassible. The bird life was wonderful. Some of the species that we saw were: blue winged teals, green winged teals, cinnamon teals, shovelers, greater white fronted geese, white pelicans, Audubon's warblers, scrub jays, red winged blackbirds and perhaps the highlight for us a pair of western bluebirds.

I came to Lodi to learn about big red wines...and did I ever get an education here.
All of the wines were great!! Even the white!! I'm traditionally a red drinker and it was outstanding.
The reverse Zin (niz) was stunning. All the reds First Class.
The lady that helped us was too much fun. It's great to interact with someone like that.
Of you only have one stop in Lodi make it here. The wine maker obviously does something different in the process. This place stands out in a great wine region.

Klinker Brick is a nice, casual spot for a wine tasting, and no reservations required. We tasted a number of their red wines and they were generally good, although nothing outstanding. After a nice time chatting with the lady pouring our wine, we took a glass outside and hung out drinking some wine and looking at the vines. A nice, relaxing stop and wine tasting.

It was the best experience ever. I wasn't as afraid as I thought I'd be. My videographer (Cassy) and tandem (Lucas) made me comforter, helped me relax and prepped me for a safe and GREAT experience. Thanks, you two! It was the perfect way to send off my 20s. Hello, 30! It is the least expensive and in my experience, the safest place to go. The wait wasn't long. The place is laid back and not intimidating. I can't wait to do it again! I highly recommend this experience and location.

We normally skip a visitors center, too touristy. This was a cute one though. We stopped in for a map and we got our first wine tasting! The young man working the desk (josh?) was a wealth of knowledge and guided us with helpful hints about the demographics and agritourism industry. Stop here first, it’s worth a few minutes!

Ski Sunset ranch is an idyllic tournament ski lake set in a Syrah vineyard. The accommodations are luxurious and spotless. Doug and Robby are outstanding instructors with an epic level of expertise and patience. We have not found another waterski school experience that even comes close to this! Five Stars in every category!

We will reopen March 2018 with Our New Releases! Lodi's only all white wine winery, featuring award winning Rhone style wines Grenache Blanc, Viognier, Roussanne, Picpoul Blanc, Belle Blanc(Rhone blend) and Grenache Rose.
The wines here are all whites. The rose' was sold out. But the others were very nice. That day they were pairing each of their wines with food. This is definitely a place to visit.

We love Michael David wine and visited to enjoy a bottle in the beautiful gardens on the property. We were able to enjoy the Reserve Collection of Wines when we visited and really enjoyed the tasting. Tasting of the reserve wines is $10.00 for five wines however the fee is waived if you purchase a bottle of wine. We purchased ten bottles of wine. We had them open a bottle of wine to enjoy with our friends in the gardens. Much of the area near the pond was closed off for a private event which was very disappointing however we were able to find an seat back by the play area. They have a restaurant on the grounds which serves great food and wonderful pies! My husband loved the world famous tortilla soup.

Lodi Lake Park is beautiful all year around. They have a Nature Trail, swimming beach, boat dock, rental boats/pedal boats/canoes, a playground and plenty of spaces to eat, throw a party, bbq or whatever. You can fish in the lake and you can use Personal Watercraft and power boats in the river behind the lake.

Extremely large winery and very active. Wine tasting was conducted with their reserve wines, not available in the grocery stores. Very Tasty! Sue did the tour and provided unique information. Tasting is $5 and the tour is $5. But if you purchase wine, the tasting price comes off the bottle.
