If you want something REAL from St. Kitts, go to Les Mains D'Or. We expected to look around a bit, maybe get one piece, but left with several. Iris, one of the artists whose work is in the gallery, made a special trip to the shop to open it so we could look around. She was friendly and helpful. Everything is made by locals. We had a good time browsing and are super happy with our purchases.

This is the big deal casino on the island and if you go, be sure to get a Pina Colada at the Sky Ultra Bar--they grate fresh nutmeg on top and it is incredible. So is their mango-lime drink.

I am saddened by the reviews of this historic monument. If you do not find it and the story of Sir Thomas Warner interesting, you have a poor tour guide. The best tour guide on the island, Mr. Thenford Gray, tells a riveting tale then recites the epithet as he learned it in school many years ago. With his clear accent and lovely voice, his recitation is one of the highlights of all the tours I have taken in many countries. Read up on the history of the places you will see. It is well worth the time and effort.
