On our drive from Huonville to Geeveston we noticed many galleries, shops and markets were no longer, so were especially delighted to come across this gem - pun intended! Though the owner was away, the woman who was in the shop was, as the title of this review says, friendly and helpful. Mind you, her job was made that much easier by having top quality items to sell and I was delighted with the pendant and topaz ring I bought. A very worthwhile stop if you enjoy well made, handcrafted items without an exorbitant cost.

I wouldn't say it's an "easy" walk, but it's not horrible either. To me "easy" is handicap accessible. It's worth the climb, but don't go in thinking it's flat or paved the whole way. There is a lovely section that's in the shaded rainforest which is pleasant in the summery.

The Market@Franklin is a delightful country market serving great coffee, home bakes, food stalls, local hand crafted items and quality secondhand goods, there is always a large variety of stalls. Situated by the Huon River in the grand old Palais theatre, great day for all. Beautiful place nice people!
