Gently rolling golf course designed by Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish.
Played here on a Sunday morning. The course is well maintained and the green fees comes with lunch for an added value. Course has some very challenging holes although fairways are usually wide and forgiving. Had a very slow twosome who were not following rules and slowing down multiple groups. After repeated calla to the proshop and 45 minutes a Marshall handled the situation.

Very informative about water conservation and recycling, friendly staff, beautiful visitor center, 0.6 miles of boardwalk surrounded by marshes and water. It was a warm breezy afternoon. It reminded us of the natural marshes around Galveston. We saw minnows, several marsh plants, cormorants, seagulls. The eagles were not around when we went. We walked thru the woods to Bunker's pond and encountered two deer.
The wetlands are 2000 acres inside 5000 acres of a working cattle ranch. $5 for adults, $4 for seniors

Atomic Speedway, 10/23/16. The weather was perfect. The Staff was excellent, especially the young man that conducted the drivers meeting ( didn't recall his name ). We had booked a time in the late afternoon. By then, one guy crashed a Sprint car and then the axle broke on the other one. So, the staff upgraded us to more laps in either the Late Model or the Big Block Modified. I chose the BBM and WOW!. That car would fly. It handled GREAT. My only regret was that I didn't buy more laps.

Came from Michigan to visit daughter and son in law- they treated us to the Mesquite Championship Rodeo. There's plenty of entertainment between the rodeo events and mid-show action for kids. A good family activity. The only complaint was the women's bathrooms were horrible. No working locks on the doors and dirty. But the arena itself was great. Tickets for general admission were $30.

No wonder they can get 30 theaters in there because the one we were in was like a crackerbox.
Plus you have to reserve your seats by picking them out on a screen when buying tickets.
For the cost of a movie the theater should be bigger. The seats were comfortable but did not recline.

This place is a great . Fantastic inexpensive place to take the family. I think this track is ranked #3 out off the dirt tracks in America. It's a 1/2 mile track. Most are 1/4 miles. Go watch the races. Captain FB

I had no idea that Glen Rose had such a cool downtown area. We went down to find a restaurant and wahla! There is was! If you're in town, I recommend checking it out.
