Perfect place to spend a beautiful evening(especially on weekends) ...a bit risky due to depth and high waves ... be carefull even if you know swimming... superb job done by lifeguards... very active and helpfull... wonderful atmosphere due to large no. Of tourists... #lack of uber and taxi

This is a beautiful, calm, rustic beach near Jurere. We drove there from (nearby) Forte Sao Jose da Ponte Grossa. We walked to the point to look back at Florianópolis and the Forte San Antonio da Ratones on the nearby island.

This beach is really amazing as it is away from the busy town yet it has all sorts of restaurants, shops and supermarkets. For those who are planning to enjoy Floripa, I would say this is the beach. From here you can explore other beaches but you know at the end that you will sleep in a quiet friendly area and that you will enjoy a calm beach in the early morning. It is worth it to rent a bike and go for other beaches from here. We pedaled to the near Ponta das Canas beach which is another underestimated beach. From here you can encounter a lot of other activities like Pirates of the Caribbeans Boat where they take you to some attractions around the Island with many entertainment on the way.
