We spent the weekend at the campground and hiked some of the trails. One of the nicest and quietest campgrounds we’ve been too. The spots are nice and big and well maintained. The shower house and restroom facilities are the nicest we’ve seen in a state park. The camp hosts Jerry and Emma were super friendly and inviting. They were eager to share maps and history of the area. We hiked some of the trails and were able to see the wagon ruts from the Oregon Trail wagons and well as many of the reconstructed buildings. The trails were very well maintained. We will be coming back and highly recommend the park. If you like history you’ll thoroughly enjoy spending some time on the trails.

I live in Fairbury and I can say the burgers are worth the wait, but if you are going there, the bowling alley is currently not open, but the food is still there.
