White Plains Beach

I'm a newbie surfer that just picked up a wavestorm softtop surfboard from costco. I do have experience trying to surf in San Diego where I'm from but never was able to catch waves. This beach has a more mellow break on the left side and a steeper break on the right side. There are plenty of soft tops in the water and nobody gets mad at newbies trying to learn even if you get in the way. I'm so glad this is my home break! Last session I was catching waves left and right. The board makes it really easy. If you have active military id you can rent boards for $5. I had a buddy who showed me this beach when I was on vacation.

Out on the Ewa plains, one of the few 27 hole golf courses around. There's three 9 hole tracks to play on. It's challenging with the water and sand hazards lining the course. To add to that, when the wind blows, it adds to the challenge. There's a driving range you can warm up or practice on. Purchase your basket at the clubhouse then walk or ask to use a cart if you're playing a round. The clubhouse is well stocked with whatever you need. Like any clubhouse, it's a bit pricey. Their restaurant serves great food. Order off the menu or do it buffet style. This is one course that has everything you need.
