Travelers who eschew the Spring Break scene will find a taste of "Old Florida" in the town of Englewood, 50 miles north of Fort Myers. When you're not enjoying the miles of tranquil beaches along the Gulf of Mexico, try boating, fishing or bird watching – or bring your clubs to one of the town's eight golf courses.

We went here on a very windy day for a picnic and to check out the nature trail. There are a few tables near the restrooms and parking lot. After lunch we hiked the 1.3 mile trail one way to the end of stump pass. Its worth the hike if you love nature, walking, playing and enjoying the water. The dolphins were all over the intercostal at the end and we enjoyed watching them as always. We were happy to see an area roped off for the nesting shore birds. Just an awesome place to rest and relax and enjoy the beauty of stump pass. We can't wait to go back again and enjoy the experience of nature and the beauty of God's creations!

Visited in October 2017; ample parking, lovely beach, mixture of sand and shell bits, ideal for shelling and finding sharks teeth. We found loads of these using our hands, did not need any nets or equipment. We were lucky enough to see dolphins offshore on 3 occasions - absolutely beautiful. Enjoy!

We enjoyed walking the trails, although we didn’t see enough birds to justify its inclusion as a Florida Birding Trail. Signage at trailheads was absent. The Nature Center was unmanned, giving the impression of financial issues. The park itself was very well-kept.

Love going to different beaches, taking nice long walks. But unfortunately this beach was way too crowded for my liking, even at 10:00 in the morning. The machine's they use for you to pay to park were not working and when they did take the money no receipts came out. Very frustrating. The bathroom and changing rooms were really dirty too, even that early in the morning. Will not go back....ever !

This beach is just further down the road from Manasota Key. Everyone looks for sharks teeth and you can’t go wrong. Right now they are fixing the bathrooms so they have porta potties, but their clean though. The beach is really pretty and relaxing. Not as busy as the one further down.

The first couple of times you go you’ll want to take it all in. Up and down both sides of the street ... plan the morning. My husband and I like to go every Thursday. When we have company we take them, it’s a great morning outing. Vendors have everything you can imagine ... and more. It’s a delightful market, well worth a visit.
PS - recommend you take reusable bags for your purchases! Makes them easier to carry. Every Thursday!

Walking paths, an Eagle's nest along the way, and an interesting museum to help understand the environment in this area. Guided walks and wading adventures are sometimes often. Check the website for a schedule of activities.

Pleasant little park with benches, tables and several pavilions available on the bay. The Indian burial mound is in the woods off to the side.

A very clean park with trails that allow people to walk their dogs. There is a 3 mile loop that's confusing the 1st time on the trail. It is a nice, quiet area with a variety of flora. Much of the trail is shaded for comfort during a hot day. There are no toilet facility along the trail.
