If it was larger I would have rated Hopewell Furnace a solid 5, rather than the 4 I gave. My daughter and I choose visiting Hopewell Furnace because it was part of the National Park system and only about 1 hour from Allentown, PA. But we discovered a real gem when we got there. Learned about a key element of the development of our nation's industrial capability from prior to the US gaining its independence, the production of iron and the community that supported it. And after a wonderful self-guided tour and sand-casting demonstration, we picked apples from the historic site's orchard! Now how's that for fun?

We were staying in Bird In Hand and saw an ad for this store. It was much larger than anticipated and had many offerings.
I mainly went for cheese and found a good selection at very reasonable prices but they do offer sandwiches, ice cream and more. Well worth the ride from Bird In Hand.

A few weeks ago my girls and I went to Weavers Orchard to pick berries and cherries. Though I am not a fan of raspberries and this year the strawberries were a bit small. The cherries were amazing!!!! Yellow and dark red cherries, the sweetest...MoreThanks for your review, and we are so glad you enjoyed the cherries. Hope you made it back to pick peaches as well!

I love coming here time after time to watch the baby animals romp and play! Farmer Jim is a great guy. Bring your family and have a picnic. Worth a visit to this gem

I live near this parkway and you can always here when they are racing. The keystones are always a blast and you can see famous drag racers, I've met tons and even gotten their autographs. Even when there are smaller race weekends it's a lot of fun and a local venue to just get out and watch some races.

Struble Trail in Downingtown is a classic. Paved in its entirety, it's easy to ride a bicycle on, push a stroller, walk or yog. It's definitely not smooth enough to rollerblade, however. Shady in spots and sunny in others, during a fall afternoon or morning, it's the perfect opportunity to watch leaves falling while catching up with a friend. This trail also feels very safe - like, you can yog alone and not feel like a raper is hiding out waiting for you (although, I always prefer to bring my dog just in case).

French Creek State Park is very, very nice.....the roads are good, and there's fishing, hunting, canoeing, hiking, swimming, and nature walks, galore. There are also some nice camp grounds for tent and/or RV camping. Get back to nature and visit this place.

Above & Beyond Ballooning offers hot air balloon rides daily at sunrise and sunset year-round above scenic Chester County, Pennsylvania and Hunterdon County, New Jersey. Each aerial adventure is topped off by a traditional post-flight champagne celebration. We are a professional, dynamic company run by passionate and experienced balloonists who strive to make your flight an experience you'll always remember fondly.
I was pleasantly surprised by my now fiance with a hot air balloon ride on a recent trip to New York. Traveling from Australia, I was a bit sceptical about leaving the usual popular NYC tourist sites for an early morning taxi ride to Solberg airport, New Jersey - but it was completely worth every minute and more.
Although, being the first flight of the season (in this particular area), the weather was a tad cold! - but our pilot Jon kindly offered his jacket to me which I gladly accepted and appreciated. The flight was peaceful, beautiful and something I will remember for a very, very long time - and not just because my boyfriend proposed!
We were lucky to experience flying above the clouds which is absolutely breathtaking and a fun splash and dash in a pond nearby. Jon's exceptional flying skills and depth of knowledge of the areas we floated past were second to none and his love for his sport and profession put at ease the small amount of fear in my fiancé's mind!
After flying for about 1 hour, we landed very safely in a beautiful neighbourhood and were met with the ground crew and local neighbours all eager to help pack the balloon into the van. The drive back to Solberg airport was just as beautiful - and not something you would be able to experience by just staying in NYC.
Jon's hospitality didn't end here. Cold champagne was waiting back at the airport and then we went to a local diner for some much needed breakfast. He even helped us get back to a train station so we could get back to NYC.
I am a huge fan of New York and would go back again and again, but I would highly recommend this adventure to anyone wanting to experience something a little bit different to the traditional New York tourist sites.
Jon - thank you so, so much!

Popped in to see a friend and discovered this spot. If you are a golfer, this is a great find, driving range, indoor putting, chip & put course, miniature golf course and a pro shop. You can get lessons here.
But it has go carts for the teens and older, miniature golf, a café with reasonable prices and good snacks. I met someone for lunch and it was a snack type lunch.
They are planning car events for the summer.
