Elbląg's Old Town isn't such 'old' and unfortunately we see this during walking. There are only a few historic objects built before World War II, really destructive time for this city. What we have now, is an attempt to restore former beauty. In my opinion, done well. Of course, we can have a problem with deficiency of historic soul, but it is not such a big problem. Plenty of restaurants and pubs to visit.

Located in the heart of old town in Elblag and you can't miss it. It is huge, brick layered and lovely decorated. On the side you can find dedication statue to the Karol Wojtyla. Take a minute to have a quick pray and explore the city.

There are a few ways to book this boat ride and there are different lengths of time in the boat. The most popular one is the 4.5 hour ride which to us seemed like really long time on the boat so instead of taking the boat in Elblag, we drove 30 minutes to Pochylnia Buczyniec from where you can take other shorter options AND also you can also simply see the hydraulic system working without having to ride the boat. If you go to Pochylnia Buczyniec as we did come prepared since there are no restaurants but only a couple of food trucks with ice cream and beers and snacks so come with a full belly. When making the research for this trip we tried booking though their website and the info was not really clear so we decided to drive and see for ourselves...for example on the web page there were no more spaces available for the ride from Elblag but when we walked into their office they simply offered tickets to the next boat ride...so it could be possible to come without booking. To be fair we came right before the start of the season so for sure there were fewer people than normal. In any case I fully recommend!

Museum in Elblag is one of the oldest museums in Poland. Collected for many years the exhibits can be seen in two historic buildings, which are part of the Teutonic castle grounds, in the past. In addition to modern exhibition museum invites you to watch the holographic movie which presents two thousand years history of the south-eastern coast of the Baltic Sea.
