I visited with a large delegation of work colleagues and we spent 3 hours exploring the floors of the museum with a knowledgable guide. I could easily return and linger longer!

Im südlichen Niedersachsen, mit tollen Ausblick ins Leinetal, liegt die Burgruine Heldenburg. Sie wurde im 13. Jahrhundert zum Schutz des Salzbrunnens von den Grafen von Dassel und von den Welfenherzögen gebaut. Die Burgruine wurde in den Jahren 1983 - 1988 grundlegend saniert. Die Ruine ist im Besitz des Landes Niedersachsen.
