As of the 2010 United States Census, the borough's population was 8,913, reflecting an increase of 197 (+2.3%) from the 8,716 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 814 (+10.3%) from the 7,902 counted in the 1990 Census. It is an inner-ring suburb of New York City, located 7 miles (11 km) west of Midtown Manhattan.

A football game in the United States is a passion bordering on the religious fanaticism and a favourite pass time for multitudes. A visit to the METLIFE Stadium while a game is on has to be experienced to be believed. The stadium ground is so huge that if you genuinely want to watch the game, you might as well concentrate on the giant screens put on all sides. However, I get the impression that most of the people come here just to be a part of it and have a great time as well. The game itself is hard to understand with 3-5 second of activity and then another 30-45 seconds of break. It’s like watching a snail walk, were it not for the vibrant environment at the stadium. An one hour game generally takes about three hours to finish. The stadium itself is so huge that if you are coming here, be prepared to walk up to twenty minutes going in and coming out. It is a great show non-the-less, and not to be missed if you can get the tickets, that is.

The restaurant area is quieter and “kid friendly”. The bar area is always busy. Best known for their thin crust pizza. The mussels are always great. A local establishment since my childhood. Always good.

We were here the night they had the Daschund Races, free beer and dollar dogs. Saw most of the races and really really enjoyed our evening. We were used to the old Blue Bonnet track in Montreal and this place cannot be compared. Great free fun!
