Peak on Durmitor Mountain
Going from Sedlo, this is one of the best hikes I have ever done, and that is saying quite a lot. I loved it because the views were continuously fabulous, the hike was totally manageable as a day hike (about 6 hours round trip) and it was just scary enough at the very top to make it feel like I had really accomplished something. I highly recommend it!

Tara Bridge is a great built structure over Tara River. The bridge itself is very interesting and the view from the bridge over Tara Canyon is wonderful. Here it is a must to try zip line or rafting, since from my experience with the zip line is a great choice to be above Tara.

Only 3km away from the centre of Zabljak, Malo (Small) and Veliko (Big) Lakes merge into Crno (Black) Lake. This lake is specific for its dark blue shade of water, which often seems black, and the effect is created by the Lake's depth and the dense Durmitor pine forest surrounding it.
Summer season, the best for geting to know one of the most beautiful places in montenegro and europe. You can enjoy the nature while you do kayak or trecking or only rest watching the mountains.

In the village Novakovici, in an area of around 500m2, lie 49 stecci. Stecci are medieval tombstones, rich in various ornaments, most of which are well preserved. One of them especially stands out for its clear depiction of a hunting scene.
We popped this in the GPS and off we went exploring. After a few wrong turns and ending up in farmers properties, we finally found it and it only just peeps at you from a grassy knoll. We were super excited to find it, and experience this amazing bit of history first hand. No crowds, no tickets, no barriers and something in it's natural condition untouched. So nice to respectfully observe something so special. As described it is a smidge difficult to find, but so very worth it. Very humbling. It's a good little secret to keep away from the tour companies! One of the highlights of our 12 day Montenegrin drive 'ourselves' trip.

We went to the mountain with the cable car, and we continue to the top " Savin kuk" on foot. The view was magnificent, we could see the Black lake below the mountain with it's beautiful colors. Great sunny day.

The Centre houses the natural history collection of the National Park, a shop selling souvenirs, handicraft items, as well as a room for the screening of films with a capacity of 30 visitors. It is located in the main building of the National Park, and it is a place where you can receive all information related to the tourist offer of the area.
This is a stunning work of mother nature!!High plain dotted with mountain huts and grazing cattle, surounded by impressive mountains, the most remarkable being Durmitor massif. For those on tight shedule or who don't want to hike, there are lovely scenic roads to drive on, with lots of marked view points with benches to sit on and admire the nature. For more active ones, there are lots of hiking trails, with various levels of difficulty. I have done hike around Medjed Peak, hike to Prutas and Skrcka lakes, and a hike to Crvena greda. All the trails were perfectly marked, making it almost impossible to get lost. First two trails were covered mostly by 4G mobile network, the last one mostly by 2G/3G.

The mountain peak of Obla Glava (Round Head), named after its shape resembling a human head, seems to jealously hide another jewel of the nature of Durmitor. At an altitude of 2164m, the Icy Cavern is located. In this cavern winter never stops, and its icy "jewellery" enchants visitors with its brightness throughout the year. The most luxurious "hall" of this cave is 40m long and 20m wide. Water drips from its ceiling creating icy figures which sometimes can become very tall.
