Capt Freds world famous airboat tours are the best nature tours in central Florida. Our tour will offer sightings of a wide range of wildlife, from alligators to bald eagles. Great family fun, Hold baby alligators IN OUR OFFICE(we are licensed) Holding baby alligators in the WILD is a Federal offence. This airboat tour offers the best value and fun for your money. Seven days/wk by reservations See true old Florida. Established 1995
Captain Fred's is such a lovely day trip. The whole staff was warm and welcoming. Our captain Wayne was frendly and reassuring us ladies that the airboat ride we were about to take was not like the screaming coming in sideways kind of ride you see on TV. Being leary of this put my mind at ease. Our party of four really enjoyed ourselves seeing lots of wifdlife which didnt seem to mind us being there at all. Lots of fun!

This is quite a large store. They makes about 50 kinds of jams, jellies, spreads, and candy. We were amazed at all the different types, and they have small samples of everything so you can try before you buy. My husband loves citrus and bought the Key Lime jelly as well as the Orange Pineapple marmalade. I am a big fan of coconut and purchased a jar of Coconut spread, and a box of Chocolate Covered Coconut squares. There is a window to watch them make their jams and jellies, but we were there on the weekend and no one was working. A very nice place to visit!

THEATRE WINTER HAVEN has been called “one of the best community theatres in America” by the Tampa Tribune, the Lakeland Ledger and the Winter Haven News Chief. Since our founding as a non-profit organization in 1970, TWH has worked to fulfill our Mission Statement: “We inspire, challenge, entertain and educate our community by creating exceptional theatrical experiences” Each year, TWH produces a six-play Mainstage subscription season, a Tribute concert series, two Academy Musical productions, a dance program, a free community choir, a summer musical, two touring productions and a three-play staged reading series called StageRead.
This was my first time at Theatre Winter Haven. I saw The Hunchback of Norte Dame. The building is not fancy, but the production was superb. Excellent acting, singing, dancing, choreography, set design and orchestra. Truly exceptional community theater. I have seen many Broadway productions, and this was as good, plus much more up close and personal, and at a fraction of the price.

Explore the landscaped gardens of Frederick Law Olmsted Jr. and one of Florida’s natural habitats on the Pine Ridge Trail. You can also discover the history of Edward W. Bok and the building of his 205 foot Singing Tower and tour the historic Pinewood Estate mansion to catch a glimpse of the luxurious lifestyle of the 1930s. Enjoy the all new Children's Garden, Edible Garden and Outdoor Kitchen and Wild Garden. Visitor Center includes exhibits on the life of Edward Bok and the Carillon. Enjoy a healthy meal at the Blue Palmetto Cafe and take home a memento from the Tower shop.
We took our children's ministry to Bok Tower as an outing...what an awesome trip. The weather was perfect and the staff went over and beyond the call of duty...the exhibits were amazing and informative the grounds were amazingly beautiful.

Through out the park their are rides and attractions but this area of the park is the most fun for kids. Their are several attractions in Lego City that include Fire Fighter Rescue, 3-5 year old Driving School, 6-12 year old Driving School, Flight School, Boating School, places to eat, places to rest, and places to play like the indoor Lego Imagination and discovery center. Your kids can complete the Driving School and than get their picture taken and receive a license. Their is a really god chicken diner and Burger place along with the Fire fighters Ice Cream store. Kids love this area of the park because it is spaced out and their is some more for them to do. Recommend that you skip the other areas of the park and do this first because you will spend most of the time in this location. Parents and kids can both ride the rides like the boats and even race a fire truck while putting out a fire. Just be warned that if the park is busy the lines could be long and you might have to wait awhile.

This 18-hole golf course features large, undulating greens, elevation changes of 100 feet, and wide fairways flanked by more than 170 bunkers.
Stayed at the Southern Dunes Golf resort over the Christmas & New Year. Very quiet resort which is well looked after. The resort is gated with 24hr security. We stayed in a 3-bed house with a pool. The house was clean and tidy with all the usual amenities. There is a small communal fitness room and swimming pool available for use; the security code for the door is available from security at the entrance gate. There is a bar in the clubhouse. The resort is approximately 30 minutes from Disneyland, 40 minutes from Universal and 60 minutes from Downtown Orlando (all times dependant on traffic).
Close by are a few fast food outlets, restaurants and grocery stores.

This is really 2 separate attractions. The Bok Towers and Gardens (a national historic landmark) is the main attraction but the Pinewood Estate and Gardens (aka the Buck Mansion) which requires a separate admission charge is on the grounds of the Bok Tower.
PINEWOOD ESTATE AND GARDENS (THE BUCK MANSION) requires admission to the Bok Tower PLUS a separate $6 admission but is well worth the extra cost. This mansion was the winter home of Mr Buck (a VP from Bethlehem Steel. He instructed his architect that no 2 rooms should be the same. In fact, there are no 2 doors that are the same. The mansion dates to the era just before the Great Depression and is a wonderful example of how the "other half" lived.
Tours of the mansion are billed as self-guided but there are docents stationed throughout the house to explain what you're seeing in each room.
The Pinewood Estate was acquired by the Bok Tower Foundation when it came on the market around 1970.
Finally, I think I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the Cafe located near the Bok Tower Visitor Center. Not only was the food excellent - but the prices were very reasonable - especially when you consider that the cafe has a captive audience. Most on-site cafes charge much higher prices than the Bok Tower Cafe. We were very pleased to get a delicious lunch at a really reasonable price.

We came here with high expectations and very sadly it is not what we expected. The park is dirty, there are no many bathrooms along the park, very far awa one from each other, there was a problem with one of the rides 20mins late, so we lost time and even if the park closes at 6pm the restaurants closes at 5pm??? We came from Miami (3hrs ride) and wanted to take advantage of the day since we arrived at 1pm but only 2 ninjago were available to take the picture, they run out of papers with the times of the show, the lines moves slowly... very dessapointed, my kids are huge fans of LEGO, like crazy fan (LEGO City, ninjago, etc). A few of The workers act like tired all the time...
Will love to comeback and have another experience

This place is awesome!!! The building looks small on the outside, but it houses some mighty big dinosaurs!!! The price is excellent and the kids can stay all day long!! And it's half price Tues-Wed-Thurs (only $5.00!) It was amazing watching the kids as they raced from one set-up to another. These are the biggest bounce set-ups I've ever seen!! The kids kept asking if they could go back every day afterwards! I definitely recommend this place.

This park has it all:
A pool, waterpark, tennis courts, several upscale covered playgrounds, a tiny tots train that goes around the park!
Outdoor stage for summer concerts.
Plenty of covered BBQ pavilions for families.
A boat ramp and pier.
And to top it all off...a small sandy beach at the lake!
If you're worried about safety, smack in the middle of it all is the police substation with regular patrols by the county sheriff.
