It was a great hike. There are no cable cars on Mount Song just trails. There is another mountain near the Shaolin Temple that has cable cars. Both were very beautiful.

This is a famous martial arts monastery, the birthplace of both kung fu and Zen Buddhism
As a child, I have always been fascinated with Shaolin temple! Truly a gem of China! It is no longer a “working temple” per say, but you do see a handful of people who would pray to the gods. A must visit place! Had a private tour with Spring (ask me for his contact) and he is knowledgeable as well with the history of the temple. Got the chance to see a little bit of Kungfu show as well! Do come and explore the grounds!

The different styles and shapes of the pagodas were amazing. It was a pleasant walk to view them and the setting amongst the trees lovely.

Saw this show during our visit to the Shaolin Kung Fu temple complex. These students are so talented. The commentary was all in Chinese but it didn’t matter because the talent needed no explanation. Amazing. Kids & adults will love this. Brings action movies to life!!!!
