This trail was the reason that my wife and I came to Decorah. It is about 17 miles long and goes around the whole town. It varies from city to farmland to trout stream. We walked the trail and had a great time. There are a few changes in elevation, but all in all it is not a hard trail to walk

Phelps Park is always a great place to hang out. It's great for getting out and hiking in nature, bringing kids to play, have a picnic, or to relax and work or read a book on one of the benches or in one of the shelters.

What a great museum! They even offer a senior rate! Take about 3 hours if you want to see it all. Make sure you take in a guided tour of the old buildings, one even from Heggenes ,Valdres , Norway ????????.

I visited the springs with my friend and her toddler twins. The path to the spring was stroller friendly and lovely to see. There were some stairs to climb up to the tops of the spring, but we didn't venture that this time. I am eager to go back when the trees full of leaves.
