Through 24,000 artifacts and 12 historic buildings, Vesterheim Norwegian-American Museum shares the most comprehensive collection of Norwegian-American artifacts in the world and is a national center for folk-art classes.
My wife was keen on exploring some of her heritage, so this German-ancestry husband went along... and I’m glad I did! There are sections on the immigration trip, on early life in America, on their woodworking and artistry, on their work with textiles and crafts, several traveling exhibits of which we totally enjoyed the photos of life on a fjord in the 1800’s by Knud Knudson, and much more, lovely way to spend a couple hours.

The falls are not spectacular but do provide a nice background for photos. Also if you can catch this place without others around a great place for reflection. Take time to go to the top as it does provide a good view of the falls.

In a beautiful setting along a babbling brook, shaded by large trees, lies a fish hatchery complete with fledgling rainbow trout AND nests of the American Bald Eagle.

We walked the trailed by the West Main Street access south and walked the trail up through Phelps Park. This portion of the park trail (not part of Trout Run Trail) was pleasant but steep in some areas. The views from the bluff and the bridges made this park stand out from other city parks.

What an interesting mission! I really enjoyed walking through the clean, organized gift shop. They have an amazing selection of seeds, gardening tools, and books. The grounds are just gorgeous -- gardens, trails, barns, animals. Definitely worth the drive out of town.

This tasting room is a relaxing cheerful place to hangout a drink some really good beer. Corn hole out front, patio with hops growing on the pergola, cabin-like inside with short bar. Try all the beers with a flight of short servings, or order a glass. Food is not prepared on premises, but local pizza places will deliver. Casual attire. Friendly staff. Located on the top of a hill. TVS to watch sports indoors and outdoors.

2nd time visitor and just as happy with the stop as the first time. The beers that Pulpit is putting together are excellent and something for everyone's taste. The service was excellent, the beers were excellent, and it appears that they are expanding into the whole building. A nice touch is the In Fermentation sign above the brewhouse door so you know what it is coming up to try. The outdoor seating was being well utilized. I look forward to returning very soon to try some of the upcoming brews. They are doing crafty beer right!

We were kind of disappointed with the tiny, ice cave but it was still cool to see. We went this month and the ice was pretty slippery. You can't see anything and it doesn't go far back at all. Still pretty neat.

Visited the Seed Savers Exchange for their Annual Tomato Tasting. A lovely experience- very well presented. The grounds are well laid out and there was a lot to see. The gift shop was excellent as well and everything was well priced.
