This park has it all - slides, swings, spider web swing, flying fox, sand pit, obstacle courses, tables to sit and eat snacks, plenty of hiding areas for your child. Opposite McDonald's Noble Park - great for a snack on the way home.

We signed up for a tour of the Springvale Botanical Cemetery expecting to see a few headstones, but it is a surprisingly beautiful place. It has, amongst other things, over 30,000 rose bushes. Some features, such as the children's cemetery, are very touching The war graves section is very well cared for. Each ethnic group has its own section. The Asian section is very well done, with an authentic Buddhist temple constructed -- without nails -- by craftsmen from China. Care has been taken to adhere to the principles of feng shui (wind and water) which Chinese people take very seriously. If you would like to see what the cemetery has to offer ring them and make a booking for a tour. It's gratis, and you also get a tasty lunch.

Known as the "cook's market", Dandenong Market is a 150-year old traditional working market in Melbourne's South East. A mecca for fresh produce and hard-to-find ingredients, Dandenong Market attracts over 5 million visitors a year who seek out authentic, fresh produce. With over 200 market traders spread out over 8000 square metres, Dandenong Market offers everything from honeycomb fresh from the beehive, to flowers cut straight from the farm, to apples picked from the orchard. A busy and bustling market full of sights and delights, Dandenong Market offers a taste for every season and a treasure in every stall.
My favourite place to go every fortnight to get fresh fruit, veg, fish, bread and handmade soaps. Beautiful quality and great prices. Soooo much better than the supermarkets!!

Melbourne Cable Park (The Park) is the home of Victoria's first full-size cable wakeboard facility and the first installation in the southern hemisphere of an innovative award-winning, Kristallturm Aerial High Ropes facility from Germany. The Park also includes an Aqua Fun Park and will incorporate Stand Up Paddle boarding, kayaking and a visitor centre.
I took my 10 & 11 year old kids for a 2 hour session on the wake boards. The staff were great and the water was a lot warmer than expected! Be prepared for long queues if you’re going for the first time on a sunny weekend. Once you’re in, the wait time for each run is pretty good ????

Lovely place for a picnic outdoors or a coffee at the tables where the most beautifully coloured rosellas will join you, and eat from your hand. Enjoy the fresh air and relax among the trees, a great spot to enjoy nature at its best.
