The French-inspired Botanical Garden of Curitiba is one of the Brazilian city’s most popular attractions, its colorful flowers, ponds, paths, and art nouveau greenhouse creating a sweet-smelling fairyland. After a floral stroll, continue to explore Curituba’s lovely landscapes at Parque Estadual de Vila Velha and Parque Tanguá. Visit the Museu Oscar Niemeyer, a celebration of the architect’s bold, abstract works, then enjoy a performance at the marvelous Ópera de Arame, built to look like it’s fashioned out of wire.

We chose the neighborhood due to the proximity to the park, so we could enjoy a feeling of having somewhere to exercise outdoors. Couldn’t be happier.

This is the symble of Curitiba. The place is well structured, there are a few trails to walk on and the greenhouse is a nice site. You can take good pictures here.

MON has been one of my favorite Curitiba stables for over a decade now and is never skip it during each trip to the city. The museum grounds are absolutely gorgeous, worth exploring and sitting down for the coffee. The art collections always change and are well worth the visit.

Beautiful park and a great place for a long walk or a picnic. The park is on the route of the City Tour bus and has a great look out point from the pink building.

Was a nice diversion on a sunny Sunday. I am not a big homemade craft guy but it was still interesting to pass by the varied stalls and see what creativity exists in the people of Curitiba. For me a great meal and a pint of local beer is all it took to rate this a must see/do on Sundays (only on Sunday) in Curitiba. If it’s raining just pack an umbrella and go. You can choose any one of 15+ places to sit, eat and drink and watch the passerby’s well just pass you by. Highly recommended for a Sunday activity.

We visited the Opera House during a tourist bus trip. Having decided to have lunch, we were seated on the terrace overlooking the lake. A beautiful risotto (and a good glass of wine) was served whilst we watched an excellent jazz group playing on a floating platform on the lake. It was like being in heaven! The building is quite spectacular- well worth a visit. Recommended highly
