For an outlet area, it was nice, but don't believe the signs you see on backside of buildings. The stores are not where the signs are. Only went in several stores, one was about same price as other locations you could get the items. Other one was nice, prices good.

The Kentucky Artisan Distillery opened in 2012, as Oldham County's first distillery since Prohibition. We are a contract distiller and bottler, and are now the home of Jefferson's Bourbons. Guests learn the story behind this incredibly unique brand while touring a craft distillery in an up-close and personal way. Every tour is a behind-the-scenes tour!
Great tour. Lessley did an excellent job and we've been on a lot of bourbon tours. She is top shelf. They have a pretty cool business going and several innovative products. Worth the stop.

Louisville's 33-acre public botanical garden & horticulture research center offers magnificent garden displays & family friendly gardening activities for all levels. Stroll the spacious grounds that are home to stunning and varied gardens featuring an expansive plant collection of beautiful, rare & unusual specimens. Visit our stone castle and Yew Dell's award winning Bank Bark & Pavilion. Offering year-round activities from casual plant walks & guided tours to first-rate workshops and lectures. Yew Dell will inspire the gardener in everyone.
We visited on a sunny spring day and were rewarded first with the sight of the castle, the workmanship of Theodore Klein, who with his wife Martha Lee, spent 50 years developing a family farm, successful commercial nursery and an extensive collection of plants and gardens. He introduced more than 60 new plant varieties for the gardens.
The gardens are now a non-profit organization. Following Klein's death in 1998 a group formed to purchase the property and develop it into a public botanical garden. In 2012 Yew Dell was designated by Horticulture Magazine as one of the top 10 destination gardens in the U.S. and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Much more could be said about the community involvement (1200 members and 250 volunteers), and Yew Dell's gardening, research and educational activities. Suffice it to say, you will enjoy thoroughly your walk through the Holly Allee, two rows of American Holly trained into an evergreen tunnel and the only access to the secret garden; a traverse of the serpentine garden and a visit to the castle, as well as most everything else in this remarkable setting.
Admission is only $7 for adults, $5 for seniors and free for children under 12 and active military. Free admission January-March.

I was looking for a little something "extra" to give my partner for Christmas. Instead of something cheesy like flowers or chocolates, I knew my partner would enjoy getting out of the house and doing something together. Studio G offered me the perfect gift opportunity. We booked an early morning (10a-12p) paint & sip class w/ Rita Yussman who turned out being a local award-winning artist for her work on Kentucky Derby posters, etc. Additionally, the theme of our painting was "Uncorked," which would compliment the kitchen my partner had been working so hard on lately (bourbon/wine theme).
Pamela, the owner, couldn't have been nicer. Between Pam & Rita, our mimosa glasses were never empty, there weren't any awkward dull moments of silence, we weren't ever "waiting for the next step," etc. Did I mention that the studio looked amazing? We just had a great time and it felt great to be out and enjoy ourselves in an intimate, personal environment.
All together, the bill was $90 for two hours of personalized painting with our instructor and bottomless mimosas. Had it been later in the day, we probably would have opted for bourbon or a bottle of wine.
We will certainly be back! I highly recommend.

OpenRange Indoor Gun Range and Gun Store is located in Crestwood Kentucky, just 10 minutes from Lousiville [Exit 14 on the 71] We're a state of the art facility with 5 x 100 yard rifle stations and 12 pistol stations - all featuring Mancom programmable targetry and the most advanced air cleaning system in any facility in America. OpenRange is also a fully licensed Gun Shop and we have a Conference and Training Center as well as Rentals and Ultrasound cleaning services. OpenRange is very proud to have just received a five star rating from the NSSF - come-on over and see how passionate we are about the shooting sports and the idea of running a facility thats second-to-none! ... or just rent a machine gun and let off some steam! ;-)
We have only used the handgun range but have been multiple times. The staff is always very curtious and they will take the time to help novice shooters. Only downside is sometimes on the weekend the place gets very busy so you should call ahead.Thank you for your response & review of our range! We work to be 5-Star for our shooters, and we are glad that we are worth the drive! Thank you!

OVERVIEW
...I found this course to be very scenic.
...It's a links style course out in the country.
...There are a few big houses on the edge of the property but nothing close by.
...Bentgrass fairway greens and tees.
...Almost all the greens are either round or oval.
PRO
...I thought the greens were in great shape for November.
...The greens putted very true (some of my best putting ever).
...The fairways were mostly in great shape with just a few small bare spots and the cart path was in pretty good shape.
...The bunkers were in good shape, especially considering how much rain we had received recently.
...The cart paths are unobtrusive and off to the sides. This isn't necessarily a good thing for cart path only, but I think it's a good thing for golf in general. I only hit the cart path once (it bounced somewhere and I never found the ball).
... The carts have GPS for front, middle, and back of green. This is a good feature but GPS with hole layouts so you can tell where to hit and locations for hidden carts in the fairway would be a huge improvement.
CONS
...There were way too many blind tee and second shots. This made the course difficult to play for a newbie like me and you could easily hit someone ahead of you. This wasn't a problem today because the course was almost empty due to the very cold day.

Truly the jewel of the city. There’s so many special features to this gorgeous location. The trails are well maintained for walkers, runners or bikers. The steams and ponds are perfectly showcased for beauty and usability. It’s heart warming seeing a father/son fishing together or a duo kayaking along the steam. Bring your kids and let them explore nature. The playground and spray grounds are so much fun. Its free of trash and has the cleanest bathrooms. The Jones family and all the contributors who believed in this park and made it a reality are dreammakers. It represents a vision for our city to be healthy, happy and enjoying nature together as a community. We should all join with a membership to keep the Parklands just the way it is.

This bridge is now dedicated to pedestrian/bicycle traffic and connects Louisville KY and Jeffersonville IN. We found it our first night when we walked to the waterfront, and really enjoyed the venue it provided for exercise and tourism. The availability of rental bikes in Louisville is a real plus as well!

Built in 1790, Locust Grove, a three story brick Georgian home, is the final home of General George Rogers Clark, the founder of Louisville, and conqueror of the Old Northwest Territory. The house was built by his sister Lucy Croghan and her husband William Croghan who raised 8 children here and hosted their brother William Clark, of Lewis and Clark fame, as well as Presidents Monroe, Jackson and Taylor, Vice President Arron Burr, statesmen such as Cassius Clay, and several artists including John James Audubon. This National Historic Landmark has been restored to reflect the elegance of General Clark's time at Locust Grove. The 55 acres of gardens, fields and woodlands are open for exploration daily.
Renovated recently, this home hosts many weddings, special parties especially during the summer months. Nice banquet area available inside of rain is threatening. Small warming kitchen, but you need a caterer for food. Many areas of the garden offer great photo backgrounds and dining outside.

We were in the area to attend a wedding at the Gheens Foundation Lodge. This park is very well maintained, there is plenty of parking, and the facilities are wonderful. The Saturday we were there, many families were out playing on the playgrounds, riding bikes, walking/hiking, and just generally having a good time together. It was refreshing! The lodge where the wedding took place was beautiful and very well arranged. The ceremony was held outside (it was a gorgeous day) and then we moved inside for dinner and dancing. The food was delicious! It was just a very pleasant day/night. I was very surprised to find this park in the Louisville area - the feel is not urban at all and it is a bit "hidden" so it probably is not quite as busy as some other areas that offer the same facilities.
