Art about the american experience -- the people, land and ideas that shape America through the eyes of American artists. Connect and reflect on the story of America through the eyes of American artists. The diverse collection of original American masterpieces includes a mix of contemporary Native American art alongside traditional bronze sculptures, landscape paintings and other works that embody America and the migration west. Kids and teens 17 and under are always free to The Rockwell -- specialized Art Hunts and our Family Exploration Studio make our museum the perfect destination for all ages. The Rockwell is named for our founding collectors, Bob and Hertha Rockwell, local business owners who amassed an incredible collection of American art and artifacts.
We had no idea about this place, thought it had something to do with Norman Rockwell. Not. A wonderful museum of Western and Indigenous American art. Beautifully restored building with architecture that fits perfectly with the exhibits. Very good explanation of what we were seeing in each room and it was great seeing some real classics of Western art while also seeing lots of new and beautiful things. Gift shop was also quite nice. Staff were helpful and friendly. Not a huge museum -- plan on about an hour plus gift shop -- but a really good one.

While in season walk through the herb garden and heirloom vegetable garden. See the website for additional exhibits, demonstration dates, and events.
We enjoyed a most interesting afternoon touring this historical piece of Corning History. Our guide Barbara was extremely interesting and explained in great detail how life was for the early settlers. We considered our visit a highlight of our recent trip to the area. We highly recommend anyone interested in local history visiting this gem! The staff is extremely helpful and friendly.

We stop at Bottles and Corks practicallt every time we make a trip to Corning because of all the lovely Finger Lakes wines it carries. I love Bully Hill and Bottles & Corks has a huge selection of it. The store is bright and clean & the staff is knowledgeable. There's a great selection of wines and liquors which should please everyone. And don't forget there's a discount when you purchase a case.

With two screens, and a very nice facility, the Palace Theater is a great place to see a movie. Comfortable seats, reasonably spacious, without long pre-film ads, The Palace generally shows first run movies and is an excellent choice to see a desired to be viewed film.

Our Mission is to brew, serve, and sell a unique combination of high quality premium craft beers in a relaxed friendly atmosphere while maintaining exceptional customer service. Come Taste Our Results.
We stopped in for a beer before dinner. The brothers who operate the place are making some excellent beers, following the traditional route from home brewing to craft production. Their Double IPA is excellent, and we enjoyed the porter and the (seasonal) sweet potato porter as well. They told us the place had been very busy in the afternoon, but it was quiet when we arrived (7:45 pm on the Friday before the July 4 weekend). as the downtown restaurants were quite busy, rotating food trucks might be a good next step in their business development, but the quality of the beer should take them a long way.

Volunteers painstakingly restore the aircraft for this museum, which currently has 27 models dating back to World War II.
A very small airport with almost entirely commuter service to Philadlphia, Detroit, and Chicago, and twice a week larger aircraft to Sanford and St. Petersburg, Florida. With limited flights and the challenges from smaller planes, the people at the Elmira Corning Airport have gone well beyond to provide the best possible service. A very friendly place with an exceptional staff.
While it takes longer to fly through connecting cities versus directly, the ease and convenience of this airport are remarkable. Easy to get to, usually without any traffic, most often very nearby parking, and without need to be as early in arrival as with larger airports, there are major advantages that are offered at the Elmira Corning Airport.

St. Mary's Church is beautiful. The priests and deacons are amazing and the homilies are inspirational. A very warm and welcoming church and parish. Highly recommend attending.
