We enjoyed our visit to Flamingo Gardens very much and were pleased to see the efforts made to help various creatures who have been injured and, if possible, return them to a natural habitat. It’s also a great place for visitors of all ages. While we were there we noticed several groups of school children who were enjoying their visit. The tram ride is a good way to get an overview of the Gardens and start your visit. Then you can return to areas of interest. There are lots of interesting tropical flora and birds, many flying free on the grounds as well as a large variety in an aviary with a walkway, and snakes and animals from the region. Kids as well as adults will enjoy the otters frolic in their habitat. There is snack bar with seating that looks out on the area where the flamingos are and is a pleasant place to take a break, have a bite, and enjoy the flamingos. The weekend home of the Wrays, the founders of Flamingo Gardens is also worth a look. We might have passed it by but a shower came while we were there and we ducked for a brief and worthwhile visit. It was interesting to note how small and modest the home was compared to many weekend homes of today.

I found this place randomly while driving by and wish it was in a better location but gosh they have so much stuff here! Nothing caught my eye this trip but i also had to rush through since i had other errands to run. I also saw another antique shop in the same plaza so its worth coming out and getting to see a few places at the same time!

Stayed here for 2 weeks plus. Rates compareable to others in area. Location is convienent to Ft Lauderdale locations. Sites are relatively large with paved areas big enough for unit to sit on, relatively level with full hook ups.Quiet in park unless they have bands or outrageously loud music from the many parties going on during weekends.. and sometimes the nearby soccer field. Was interesting to see iguanas, multiple birds, ducks, and raccoons daily.

Located near the Everglades, this park provides elevation and scenic beauty - perfect for bikers.
Here for the first time after moving to Weston for some shooting / target practice. I hear and read bad reviews from this outdoor range. Found it not to be real. The range is very well organize and safety is first and foremost as there is a mix ox experience shooters and beginners and families. Not expensive at all and the only outdoor 100 yards range near by. Liked it and will be back.
As for the park itself, I’ll need to come back with the family and enjoy the other activities offered.

We were in the Davie area and decided to pick up sandwiches at Publix and have an impromptu picnic. Tree Tops Park sounded inviting so checked it out. Cost $1.50/pp to get in. As we entered, noticed a pretty lake on the right with several picnic tables right on the water, had lunch there. Was very relaxing. Watched people paddle boating right in front of us. Drove around the park, is big! A very appealing feature is SO many shady trees with LOTS of picnic tables to choose from. No shortage of tables. And if you are a big group, lots of pavilions to reserve...all the pavilions were filled! Highlights: Great shady trails, an observation tower, boardwalk over a marsh, playgrounds, butterfly garden, paddle boats, equestrian trails, picnicking, lots of green areas!

Huge regional park with baseball, soccer, disc golf, velodrome, tennis courts, cricket field, exercise path, and playgrounds. During the week it is free to get in. Weekend it's $1.50 a person. I9 runs many youth programs on weekends. We love the park. Clean, lots of open space, many recreational opportunities for your family.

Shopping rarely deserves its’ more common description of ‘retail therapy’ given the stress, anger and post credit card statement anxiety it often generates, but today’s visit was almost close to it.
Few people were around and even fewer children minimised both the congestion and noise and made getting around rather easy.
If you hadn’t realised, Sawgrass is huge, gargantuan in fact much larger than most UK set ups. There is something for all budgets and all styles from high-end shops to budget conscious discount stores. Just be mindful that in many shops the real bargains (often at 60-70% off) are on sales rails and products sometimes don’t come with high street comparison prices. That said, there are some terrific savings to be had and this technique is not universally followed. Consequently, it can get really busy, especially so after lunch and with that comes tired and slow shoppers and fractious children making the perfect recipe for retail disharmony. However, go early, with a plan and ideally go mid-week and parting with your money could almost be pleasurable. Shopping heaven.
