Tony Peterson the owner is always such a great host! We have been driving across state to get their wines for a few years now after "Discovering" them on a trip to Warren Dunes. We usually purchase a case of wine each visit as they are not available anywhere else in the state. We have enjoyed each flavor we have tried and this time we stocked up on their cherry wine, which was better than any of the Traverse City cherry wines we have had. A glass of wine on the porch in the summer is the closest you can get to being in as Italian vineyard ! Keep up the great work!

We always love visiting Jolly orchards whether it’s for picking up delicious fruit or cider and donuts. Our family has enjoyed our visits here for 30 years !

Me and friends went wine tasting around Michigan and this was one of the ones that stood out for the right reasons. Great wine tasting and random cute things to buy. Got a dip serving bowl, cherry salsa, and a bottle of wine on my trip. You can also get cheese and crackers here. I walked away with a bottle of Starry White (great if you're a white drinker!)

Took a drive over to Hagar Park to see how much beach was left after the recent big storm! Much to our surprise...it was great. Lots of beach. Accessible to the public. You can take a really nice walk North but keep in mind it's private beach North. You can walk it, but not sit and park yourself. What was a bit disappointing was the amount of plastic trash....hundreds of water bottle caps, odd and ends....granted the storm may have churned up debris as there is a lot of erosion and land slides to the south. Be cautious and aware of unstable appearing areas. Very much Worth the walk along the shoreline. Better than last year. Some nice driftwood laying around. It was beautiful this time of year.

A great farm market & U-Pick for Cherries, Peaches, Apples. The farm market has a large selection of Local fresh fruits & vegetables in season. We grow Big, Black Sweet Cherries, Sour Pie Cherries, Sweet eating Plums & Apricots & Crisp Juicy Apples (including Honeycrisp). But our specialty is sweet juicy Peaches fresh from our farm July 15-September. We have U-Pick Cherries in early July, Peach & Apple U-Pick in August thru October.
This is an excellent place to view and purchase the fruit and vegetable bounty of SW Michigan. The owners are so friendly and very helpful with information on their produce. They were generous in allowing us to sample pretty much anything we were interested in tasting.

Like that this is a medium sized mall, great for an afternoon of shopping but not too big. Lots of different things - you can buy everything from mid-century modern to country to arts and crafts era antiques, and everything in-between. I like country antiques, and there are several booths that have the stuff I like - I can almost always find something to buy at Great Lakes. Friendly staff. Good prices. Plenty of variety. This place is easy to find - it's exit 39 on I-94, then north 1/4 mile - turn right at the light (there's a McDonald's there), and it's behind the McDonald's.
