Such a fun tour (Viator), especially with local guide Elana Balatel. The underground winery storage caverns and routes are most entertaining, the outdoor wine fountains a hoot - plus the wine tasting with accompanying treats was a perfect finale. Also enjoyed mucho the city tour and country wooden church museum (complete with wedding of the moment).

The National Museum of Ethnography and Natural History is the oldest museum in Moldova known for its rich collections of geological, paleontological, zoological, entomological, archaeological, ethnographic, and numismatic. It's simply amazing with spectacular exhibits. A must see when in Chisinau!

The cathedral was built in a Neoclassical design in the 1830s. The adjacent bell tower which was destroyed by the Communists after WW2 and rebuilt in 1997.The simple design with pleasing doric columns and a pretty dome are complemented by the very pretty mosaics inside.

The convent is within walking distance from the center but it's far from other attractions, so you may be tempted to skip it. Don't. It is a quiet place, with a beautiful church. Quite simple, actually, but it does provide the ambience of a religious location.

A wonderful expanse of ground is dedicated here in Chișinău to those who gave their lives during World War II. The Eternal Flame burns symbolically and the large red and pink coloured structure - resembling five 25m high rifles - stands proudly at the centre of this park. It is free admission to the Victory Memorial and very poignant with other monuments and carvings to be seen throughout.

My favorite park in Chisinau and I can be spotted here often. Cascade Stairs, better known as Waterfall Staircase is an amazing site having multiple fountains and the waterfalls light up in the evening. The staircase is popular for wedding photos. It's 2 1/2 kilometers around the lake- popular for walkers, joggers, bikers, and you can even rent carts to pedal around the lake. The wooded areas have hiking trails, plenty of benches for a good rest or to just enjoy the view, a beach area, playgrounds, and multiple concessions. The Sculpture of Skateboarders and a LARGE chess board are located here.

It's a nice park, in the center of Chisinau. The name and the statue at the entrance are linking the place with the Moldavia's history. A very special feature, at least for people interested in Romanian / Moldavian literature/history, is the "Alley of Classics" - a complex of 28 busts classic literary and political leaders figures from Moldavia and Romania.

It is located near other attractions in city center it is hard to miss it. I would say it is symbol of the city so one photo there will be nice. There is nice park behind.

There you can buy anything, from food to simple electronic devices; from clothes to battery or shoes. Huge, spread in some blocks in the city center. Always crowded, but don´t worry, is a place to shop, feel, taste and enjoy. Easy to find.
