Magnificent temples built between 950 A.D. and 1050 A.D.
These temples especially the ones in the western group of temples are well preserved and are wonderful examples of the best temple architecture. One thing that is really unique in Khajuraho is that daily life in contemporary time is depicted beautifully in sculptures on the walls. Gives the best historical evidence of how liberated and equal partners women were to men in the Sanatana Dharma culture prior to Islamic invasions. One has to get over the superficial view of eroticism to get to the real meaning behind the sculptures and get the concept of transforming sexual energy into spiritual energy. A good guide with a spiritual understanding of the temple sculptures would be very helpful.

Such an amazing experience. The exterior structure of Kandariya Mahadev is based on a main tower (shikhara), the temple's highest point, which symbolizes Mount Kailash, Shiva's Himalayan mountain home. This main tower is surrounded by 84 smaller spires (urushringas). The whole building is made of sandstone, with a granite foundation.

We visited Khajurao a couple of days ago and I was simply blown away by the beauty of the 1000 to 800 year stone temples. This is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is meticulously maintained by the Archeological Survey of India. The exterior and interior carvings are simply stunning and as beautiful as described in guide books. We had a very knowledgeable guide named Sanjay Khare. +919425143587. I'd reccomend a stop over at this amazing place if you have time on an India trip.

Rajesh's shop is by far the best bespoke clothes shop in India. Excellent materials, friendly people, and perfect workmanship. My friend had a Kurta made perfectly, and jt was ready on the very same day. Highly recommended stop in Khajuraho!

A much shorter drive from Khajurao than the Pana falls we were greeted as we entered the park by our first site of Jackals, followed by deer, guar antelope and wild boar. From the viewing points over looking the gorge and falls which in late November still had a good flow of water we saw a huge crocodile, and a wide range of birdkife including pied kingfisher..

Nice calm area to go away from other travellers and immerse in nature. Close to Raneh falls. Best to go early around sunrise to see the animals. Entry fee was pricey but can understand as more tourist visit Panna is search of tiger. We saw birds, deer, monkey, vultures, peacock...

It is one of the most important Tiger reserves of central India.Closed Wednesday afternoon for visitors
This is a nice park. The park was well maintained and the guides picked up even the smallest piece of trash we came across which is unlike any place outside the park. They take great care to protect the animals. We even had to complete a questionnaire about recent travel to China because they were concerned we could transmit the coronavirus to the animals. We didn’t see a tiger on our drives, but we heard one growl. We saw a leopard, a jungle cat, a sloth bear, various types of deer, many varieties of birds, wild boar, etc.
