We love coming to Chessington, so much so we make sure we have either a season pass or a merlin pass every year. I suffer from arthritis & fibro so at larger theme parks I struggle to wait long periods of time and often struggle to get on and off rides, but Chessington I find so much easier especially at off peak periods where we can often go on a ride more than once because of short wait times. It's also a shorter drive for us so my joints dont seize up as much. We absolutely adore staying at the Safari hotel, waking up and seeing zebras and giraffes whilst eating a delicious breakfast has become a little addictive. The animals are beautiful, and we try to do the VIP experiences as often as possible which are a great value for money. We have done the giraffe feed, owl meet and greet and the capybara meet and greet. The staff that assisted us on those were very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. The staff are brilliant at Chessington, very friendly and chatty, they make you feel comfortable, welcome and above all, valued. The staff chat to us like we have been friends for years which we really enjoy especially as we work long hours sometimes 6 days a week and rarely have time to socialise with anyone. The staff are probably another reason why we would choose Chessington over any other park. There is so much to do here; rides, zoo, animal shows/talks, aquarium, different restaurants, VIP experiences etc. So you could never get bored! A massive thank you to all the staff at Chessington for your hard work and for making us feel so welcome (even if we are probably too old ????)

Kingston Riding School offer a wide range of equestrian courses and horse riding lessons to suit riders of all ages and experience. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced rider, our qualified staff can help you improve your riding abilities. In Royal Richmond Park which is just a few minutes away we offer hacking for all those confident in walk, trot and canter. Kingston Riding School offers private hacks for those wanting that “personal touch”, and for the more experienced rider, bigger, faster group hacks are offered. For more information see Hacking in Richmond Park.
I have been hacking out from Kingston Riding Centre for ten years as a sharer of three very different super horses belonging to the school. I was a really nervous adult learner but through patience and supportive instruction I have achieved my dream which is riding weekly, going out into Richmond Park on my own and I have had some fantastic riding holidays in Spain, Romania and Botswana. Of course, with riding and horses, learning never ends! A few weeks ago top instructor Nicky gave a fantastic dressage demo firstly with two well schooled and highly trained dressage horses following by a demo with two riding school horses, with really insightful explanation of what the horses and riders were doing and what action they needed to take to ensure the horses were able to achieve the best they could as individuals with ease and confidence. It's a very friendly place, try it out.

Discover an oasis in the middle of an African Savannah in the Chessington Safari Hotel. Go wild in an immersive water splash play area with a slide and water canons perfect for families, with a view of the Wanyama Reserve; home to Zebra, Giraffe and Ostrich! Savannah Splash can be enjoyed by Hotel Guests staying in both the Chessington Safari and Azteca Hotel, and is also a part of the Chessington Leisure Club membership! Hotel guests must book time slots for this interactive feature during weekends and school holidays.
We visited the Savannah Splashpool and other facilities here during a stay at the Safari Hotel. Nothing negative about the experience. Staff were friendly and attentive ensuring at all time that people were safe and using the facilities correctly. The splashpool has excellent features for kids. The towel charge was reasonable and great selection of toiletries to purchase should guests need them. The whole area including the changing rooms was clean and tidy. Would recommend people booking their hour slot far in advance to avoid disappointment as spaces fill up quickly.
