Based on the grounds of the Waterside Primary Academy school. Discovered in 2020 after a gardening session on the grounds led to the discovery of 'The Babbling Brook', a long lost natural water feature. It has been classed as 'The talk of Chesham' with locals flocking to see its beauty.
Lovely brook! The grounds of the school are really nice too, very worth a visit to see the beautiful brook of waterside

Once an Art Gallery The Drawingroom housed over 400 original works of Fineart, however music has become the dominant driving part of my passion, we have live original music here every two weeks and together with a (book) writers groups as well as songwriters group, it is a gathering place for creatives. Housed in a 16th century building in Chesham, haunted by a kindly female presence who has watched over this home for years over 80 years that I know of. Some purring ghost cats slept on my bed, eight at one time, however, without my knowledge or consent, a guest took it upon himself to perform an exorcism here and it seems they have now moved on...Cheers Peter it would have been polite to ask! The building was initially constructed circa 1550 of oak, plaster and lath and has been added to in subsequent years. Some of the oak was probably from Spanish ship's timbers; this means some of the beams, are from trees now 1000 years old. For a majority of it's history, the building was a peasant dwelling and ale house, with a stable at the East Street end of the building where the kitchen is now located. It is also thought to have been the home to Lewis Carrol's 'Mad Hatter' Roger Crab, the 'Mad Hatter' of Chesham. Over the previous 30 years it has been an office and barber shop. The Drawingroom is also my home, whence it takes it's name; if you were here right now, you would be in my home, my sitting room, livingroom, My Drawingroom...and you'd be most welcome.
As Covid continues to suck the joy out of life, we appreciate even more the special places still standing - this is one of them so get down here and support both hospitality and live music before we lose them. Owner Richard has spent lockdown working to make The Drawing Room even more magical. There are now giant awnings and electric heaters covering the courtyard to weatherproof the evening gigs (10 pm curfew, lots of Covid precautions taken so you can feel safe). There are rugs on the chairs, a crackling chiminea and twinkling fairy lights. Everything from local ale and a deliciously warming hot apple and ginger, a very reasonably price veggie curry, yummy cakes etc etc. Before lockdown, The Drawing Room was known for hosting wonderful live music and Richard is fighting to keep this up. The result is a rare thing in this current climate - a few hours of uplifting magic where you can pretend all is well with the world. If you're new, call Richard first. Booking essential at the moment.

A local brewery-owned tasting bar and bottle shop featureing 12 taps, 100+ bottles and a healthy wine selection all available for drink in takeaway. We focus exclusively on independent craft beer producers to sell alongside our own range of exciting and innovative brews.
Excellent slightly quirky venue. Locally brewed ales on sale to take home, but the place also doubles as a bar so you can drink on site. Big selection of beers and lagers, knowledgeable staff and a really buzzy atmostphere. We were in here on a Saturday evening about 7.00pm and the place was quite full. If you want something slightly different, this is the place for you.

Challenging 18 hole Golf Course designed by John Jacobs. Beautiful views over the Pednor Valley add to the enjoyment of playing a short but extremely challenging course. Food offered on the clubhouse is of exceptional standard and the function/conference facilities are extremely adaptive.
We live in Australia & got married in June. As we are from the Uk we decided to hold a celebration for all our family & friends. This meant majority of the organising was done via email. Eric was incredibly patient and managed to get all the information needed to pull off an amazing celebration. Not only was the event good, it was absolutely perfect. The food was delicious, especially the chocolate brownie dessert, possibly the tasiest we have ever had. The staff were not only accomodating, but helpful, friendly, attentive, well organised & generally spot on with their service. Really couldn't fault anything about it, everything ran incredibly smoothly and efficiently. The DJ, Ian, also attempted to meet our need regarding the music even though it wasn't really his thing, he did a great job and I know there were a few aching feet the next day. Thank you to everyone involved. It was a really special time being surrounded by family and friends and you really helped to make it a perfect moment. I would highly recommend Chartridge Golf Course as a venue for your event, a lovely location with beautiful surroundings, great food & fantastic staff.
