Take a step back in time and visit the former home of artist, designer and craftsman Frank Dickinson (1874-1961). A unique interpretation of the English arts and crafts movement, the Grade II* interior was created entirely by Dickinson, inspired by the ideals of John Ruskin and William Morris and contains Dickinson's paintings, hand-made furniture, furnishings, metalwork and carving, in a unique fusion of Art Nouveau and the English Arts and Crafts style. With very limited finances Dickinson designed and built the house himself between 1902-04 - the ultimate in DIY!

Honeywood Museum is a Grade II listed building next to the picturesque Carshalton Ponds in the heart of Carshalton's Conservation Area. The family-friendly museum re-opened in May 2012 after a complete refurbishment following an HLF grant. It has beautifully restored period details including the Edwardian Billiards Room, Drawing Room and Bathroom. There are exhibitions which tell the fascinating history of the house and the people who lived there, and an on-going diary of events which illuminate the history of Carshalton, the Borough of Sutton, and a fascinating range of topics beyond. Look out for the delightful collection of Edwardian toys on display in the Childhood Room and visit the lovely tea room and the Museum's shop with its wide range of publications and unusual gifts. Entry is FREE.
A lovely little local history Museum which has a small tea room. A great place for all ages. It's well worth a visit if you're in the Carshalton area.

We had been in the Greyhound pub for lunch opposite see my review, and afterwards we decided to walk around the park and the Carshalton Ponds. The view from the other side of the ponds are extraordinarily, with the church and the Greyhound it looks like they are sitting on ponds, a painters dream. We entered the park through a hole in the wall and watched the wildfowl going about there daily business, we also saw herons flying overhead. We walked pass a little waterfall, before passing the war memorial that parades the falling,I bet this is very somber on armistice day. We passed the old ford and the pond side cafe, before making our way back to pub car park before coming home. So Im summary this village, will put you in a Groove to walk around after your meal. Thumbs up to Carshalton .

I love this pub, very friendly staff. Great LIVE music on Saturday evening. There is an excellent selection of specialist spirits, including overproof rum (my particular favourite) all the staff are 'on the ball' and you don't have to wait long to be served. Keep music live.

Wow what a lovely lunch we had today here - salmon and caper bruschetta, lovely burgers and all in a lovely, friendly, socially distanced environment with friendly staff who couldn’t do enough. Child-friendly and best of all they are participating in the govt scheme so we had three courses and a coffee for £10. Really positive experience and will definitely visit again soon.

Seriously good wood fired oven baked pizza. Haven't had as good outside of Italy this year. We will visit the restaurant soon too, looks very nice now its been refurbished and recently reopened. It smells like an Italian pizzeria when you walk in, very evocative. Delicious and highly recommended, can't wait to go back

The Oaks is a public golf facility located in Surrey which has 2 courses, a full 18 hole course and a tricky 9 hole short course. Both courses welcome players of all abilities and ages. There is also a 16 bay floodlit driving range, now equipped with power tees and we also have a large well stocked pro shop
For a 9 hole course this was a decent challenge and a very enjoyable 2 hours entertainment The greens and fairways were in very good condition The cafe was excellent and decently priced Much more than a pitch and putt
