We had a nice hike up to the top of the Mt. Ninham fire tower. We parked near the road and walked up a dirt road that took us about 15 minutes. Then we walked up to the top of the tower which was approximately 8 stories. It was in the fall and the view was spectacular. I had a zoom lens on my camera which actually captured a view of the Manhattan skyine. Take a pair of binoculars with you on a clear day for a view of NYC.

Visitors learn about the principles of Buddhism by attending meditation classes provided in both English and Chinese.
Went on Buddha's birthday which is also Mother's day. beautiful statues, talented ethnic dancers, music and vendors. Most days it is very quiet, with walking trails, contemplative lake and beautiful spiritual environment.

I love hiking along these trails when the seasons change. Its awesome to see the leaves go from full green, to yellows, oranges, and reds, just to be bare in time for snowfall! Overall, great hiking and picnicking anytime of the year, but fall and winter are my personal favorites.
