Olifantsbos Beach

The most striking white sand beach, with beautiful flora and fauna. We saw A family of ostriches with 8 babies, lots of different birds, a whale scull bone and many beautiful seashells. If ‏ you walk 1 1/2 km along the coast line to the left you’ll see the shipwrecks.

Oudekraal Beach

This little beach has to be one of my favourites to visit while in Cape Town. The views are beautiful! It’s made up of little inlets, so it’s not just one long beach area, which provides some nice privacy. It is a very small beach, Especially when compared to other beaches around like Camps Bay of Clifton though. I would advise to get there early, and avoid week days if possible, as the parking area for this place is quite small (as well as the actual beach itself) and fills up very quickly. You also will pay a couple Rand a person to get in, so make sure to bring some cash. There is a tiny stand on sight that can provide some items but it is not always open, so best to prepare when packing! There are tons of places to Braai, with shade from trees so you won’t be cooking yourself, and tons of rocks and cool areas for the kids to explore. The water can be quite chilly but it’s worth it!

Sea Point Beach

I just loved sitting on the benches along the beach walk and see how the tides change and the waves toss to and fro. It is always clean and you can just enjoy the beach on any stretch of it.

Old Cape Point Lighthouse

A definite day trip. Take water and don't wear sandals. We started out at the tip and walked the trail to the light house and back. In the middle is a secluded beach with a billion steps to get down to. This was awesome but that climb back up may kill ya. We didn't expect to be there so long so plan on most of the day if you plan to enjoy walking this trail. We'll definitely go back for a day the next time we're here. Don't miss it.
