Dog sledding has been on the bucket list for a long time. So glad we found Valley Snow Dogz on our latest adventure to Lincoln, NH. We could not have asked for a better experience, from meeting the dogs to the perfect length adventure for a family of four (kids 11 & 8). Lidia and her team were awesome! Highly, highly recommend.

Family owned and operated Full service ski shop in winter -- retail, rentals, repair/tuning, world class custom ski boot fitting. Paddle sports in summer -- kayaks, canoes, stand up paddle boards, tubes, and all accessories for retail sales. We also offer a kayak/canoe rental/shuttle service on the Pemigewasset River.
We spent a couple of hours floating on inner tubes along with dozens of other family and friend groups. Definitely buy the floating cooler to tie to your tube! The van shuttles were fun and quirky. Great birthday present.

Heard on grapevine in the next year the lady will be retiring and selling stock off in prep for that, give her a call to make sure of opening days/times but if you haven't been before you should and if you have and loved it be sure to go again real soon before she's gone!

One of the top 10 covered bridges in NH called "the most cursed bridge", which is very near Exit 27 of I-93 in Town of Campton. "The first bridge at this location was built in 1829 at a cost of $1,000. That bridge was burned down by a man named Lem Parker who claimed that God told him to do it. Parker was taken to court and confessed to the charges. However, he was found not guilty because there were no witnesses. The construction of the current bridge was brought about when a doctor trying to ford the river on horseback found the current too strong. The horse drowned, but the doctor was saved. The town voted to build a bridge immediately. A sign was posted on the bridge indicating there was a fine of five dollars for riding or driving on the bridge faster than five miles per hour. It was rebuilt by Milton Graton and his son Arnold in 1977 at a cost of $59,379. The town of Campton and the state shared the cost of the repair. The Blair Bridge is eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places." However, what the most fantastic is the view seen from under the bridge! After parking our car on a lot near the bridge, we took the path down to the river and was stunned by the view from the upper stream of the river! Oh, that's Mount Washington of the White Mountain. We could not even believe our eyes. The great and blue mountains are fantastic and one will surely miss the view if he/she just drives through the bridge without going down to the river. The Pemigewasset River was not deep at this season and the water is clear indeed. We stayed there for quite a while taking pictures, walking in the river, sitting on the rocks enjoying the view and imaging the views in autumn with gorgeous foliage around or in spring when the river full of melt snow with a distant view of the snow-capped White Mountains. Of course, we will visit it again when those seasons come and will have a cup of beer by the river in the Covered Bridge Farm Table when the pandemic is gone! And we also visited Campton town, only three miles away, a beautiful town which is worth visiting at any time of the year.

The lady at the Waterville Valley welcome center gave us the tip for Rocky Ridge Ranch. We made a reservation for 12 noon. The cost would be $18.00 per person when riding in a group or $75.00 for private ride and they only except cash. When we arrived, we decided for the group ride. While we waited for noon, they offered us hot chocolate and water. Also they had a nice fire going with benches to sit on and a 14 yr old dog named Bunny who was very friendly. By the time noon rolled around, no one else showed up so we ended up with private ride for $36.00 rather than $75. Rick, the owner, was our driver and was very cordial to us making the trip even nicer. Beautiful scenery was everywhere and plenty of snow over the 20-25 minute ride with 2 wonderful friendly horses. When we were done, a girl assistant took pictures with us next to the horses and we could pet them as well. She also took a picture when we started the ride as well. All in all a great time and highly recommend for a fun time.
