The birthplace of the tango is, like the dance itself, captivating, seductive and bustling with excited energy. Atmospheric old neighborhoods are rife with romantic restaurants and thumping nightlife, and Buenos Aires' European heritage is evident in its architecture, boulevards and parks. Cafe Tortoni, the city's oldest bar, will transport you back to 1858, and the spectacular Teatro Colon impresses just as it did in 1908. Latin America's shopping capital offers the promise of premium retail therapy along its grand, wide boulevards.

The walking tours we offer are meant for people who love to explore places off the beaten track and for those looking to get the personal attention that can only be achieved in a small tour group. Discover the hidden gems of Buenos Aires found in neighborhoods (barrios) that you will not find in guidebooks, or become an eyewitness to an obscure period of our history, the last military dictatorship. The tours are not done in the traditional big group style. Because we enter several of the buildings that we visit you will receive a truly personal experience of each place that most large walking tours won’t be able to offer. Each off beat tour is tailored to the travelers’ pace and interests. If you seek off the beaten path locations instead of the common tourist attractions, love to listen to stories you might otherwise never have the chance to hear and are looking to experience the real Buenos Aires then join us on one of our tours . We also offer private or customized tours.

I love both eating and cooking great food and I enjoy a lot traveling, learning new things, and meeting new people, their backgrounds and culture. I’ve decided to combine my love for teaching and cooking by making my kitchen the classroom. I invite you into my home to share a delicious and typical argentinian meal.
Highly recommend this cooking class to learn the basics of this country’s cooking and it’s cultural influences. Held in a very nice apartment which is easy to get to by taxi. Shirley is a beautiful person, a hostess attentive to everyone’s needs. If you have dietary restrictions, she will go out of her way to make sure you catered for and happy. This is a unique class which involves a visit to a 130 year old traditional market. Highly recommended.

The museum was big and fun. A lot of big skeletons and cool foot prints of the dinosaurs. The bottom floor had dinosaurs and prehistoric mammals, along with some modern day birds and ocean creatures. In one room was rocks and minerals and another had an aquarium of fish. The museum was very cool, and I would visit it again.

I wanted to do something that is a bit off the beaten path, and this was it. On a Saturday afternoon I arrived at the corner of Emilio Mitre and Jose Bonifacio just a little after 4, and there was already a line of people waiting for a free ride on the historic trams. I ended up in the second group. The explanations were completely in Spanish, but I did read about the trams beforehand in English, so I at least had some basic background. The volunteers explained the history of the Friends of the Transvia and the work they are doing, and then the ride began. In the middle they stopped and passengers had the option to purchase something to support the organization (I purchased a keychain for 80 pesos), and then you were sent right back to the tram stop. It was a fun way to spend part of the afternoon with locals.
