Accredited by the American Association of Museums and listed on the national Register of Historic Places, this 35-acre historic estate on Fort Lauderdale Beach is an extraordinary blend of art, history and nature. The whimsically-designed house was built in 1920 and was home to artists Frederic and Evelyn Bartlett. Bonnet House was the romantic, whimsical winter getaway of wealthy Chicago-born artist Frederic Clay Bartlett and his wife, Evelyn Fortune Bartlett, an artist in her own right. But unlike lavish show-palaces of the era, Bonnet House was a very personal, intimate creation intended just for family and close friends. It's been perfectly preserved in its 1930's and 40's period of significance, full of delightful surprises.
So happy this green space was preserved! Riding the tram to see and learn about different trees and plants was so enjoyable, and the plantation home was fun and quirky. Loved the painted ceilings! Always a joy to step back in time and learn the history of areas you are lucky enough to visit.

This is the largest outlet Mall I have ever visited! It is located about 40 minutes from Downtown Miami and my hotel arranged for a shuttle to take my friend and I there for $30 dollars each (Return trip). The layout is very good and décor pleasing to the eye. There are so many designer shops here - Gucci, Guess, DKNY, D & G, Tommy Hilfiger, Marc Jacobs, Jimmy Choo, Prada, Boss etc that you will shop till you drop!. There are also regular shops here including Jewellery, Shoes and Cosmetic Stores. We visited over the Thanksgiving weekend therefore it was packed, with queues everywhere! Lots of dining choices too if you fancy a bit to eat too! Highly Recommended!!

The flamingos at Flamingo Gardens are a great attraction; however, there is much more to enjoy at this lovely oasis. One should take a tram ride around the property at some point during his or her visit. Our driver and guide was very knowledgeable. The grounds are just beautiful and there is more to see than one realizes. A variety of birds live at Flamingo Gardens in different areas. Peacocks stroll around and sit on the branches of a massive tree. There are playful otters in a fun playground-type habitat, a black bear, cats, turtles, alligators, and birds of prey. This is a great place for families to spend part of a day and enjoy nature.

Great beach to just hang out with friends or family, bathe, walk along and explore the restaurants along the way, jump the waves and catch a tan!

My sweetheart took me to Hollywood Beach for my birthday, the weather last week was Absolutely Gorgeous , we stayed at Hollywood Beach resorts , our room was lovely , the staff was very friendly. We rented beach chairs and an umbrella from Boucher Brothers on the beach , twice during our stay- George worked at that particular area , he was always busy, making sure everyone was happy , had a few nice chats , very personable- 5 stars !

Love the Ft Lauderdale beach! It spans for miles and is the heart of Ft Lauderdale - and is not usually overwhelmingly crowded. Beautiful beach within walking distance to great restaurants and shops on Las Olas.

Walk, stay on the beach or just seat in a restaurant, are some of the things you can do. Everything is very clean, safe and well taken care of. You can park your car right on the beach, it is not that expensive. Many restaurants and bars around the boardwalk, so you are spoiled for choices

We had a wonderful relaxing day with Captain Cris and first mate Marc. We started at the lighthouse. Along the way we were given history of the area and interesting facts. We were on the intercoastal waterway for about four delightful hours. We liked this tour better than the Fort Lauderdale taxi tour.
