Brighton has become a destination, and Sheryl and Jay at Special Effects have a plethora of items to suit your every need. It’s my go-to place for stone, flooring, gourmet items, and much more. I just finished the stone on my fireplace and bought beautiful area rugs. Couldn’t recommend them more. They design, supply, and install if that’s what you want.

Yes this place is permanently closed and all the trains have been sold. I've been by this place multiple times and never went in as I never ever saw anyone until recently when I gentleman happened to be in there by the yellow caboose . His name is John Weir and he bought this piece to add to his collection. He's from Smith Falls and he told me about a train museum there and you can even spend a night on a train. I was fortunate enough to have Mr. Weir invite me to come aboard and show me inside the compartment and tell me all about it as he use to drive trains for a living and was very knowledgeable. I asked him what was going to happen to the old station which is an amazing piece of history. He wasn't sure? I would love to see it restored and perhaps turned into a diner, gift shop etc.. I sure hope it's not torn down. Thank You John Weir for an amazing experience and for restoring History!!
