Leslie (the owner of Vino 301 and tour operator) is an amazing and knowledgeable wine/tourism profession!
I brought a group of wine content creators (writers, content creators, social media personalities) out on a day of wine tasting c/o Wine Trail Adventures. Leslie shared great tips about the surrounding wineries and tips even I didn’t know! Despite the gloomy weather, Leslie was there with a smile and a goodie bag of wine glasses and bottles of water! Both smart and fun!
We visited Black Ankle and Hidden Hills Winery. One of the distinct advantages of taking a wine tour rather than going on your own is to have the testing set up tailored to your group. Because Leslie knew we were a group of knowledgeable wine lovers, she set up had an amazing and more advanced-like tasting from both wineries.
Thank you for the experience and the attention to detail to all the people at Vino 301! Happy to always tour with you guys!

We came here to ride the carousel. It’s a 1905 Dentzel, and it truly contains some of the greatest treasures of the carousel world. The kangaroo has a mechanism that makes it simulate jumping. Only 3 of them were made, and this is the only one still on a carousel. The two buffalo are the only Dentzel buffalo still in existence. The leopard would be very rare as well. The two donkeys are very rare as well. At least 3 of the animals, including a lion kept in a glass case, were made by E Joy Morris, and there are some Daniel Muller horses on the platform too. This carousel has been beautifully restored, and is very well kept. We found it to be very enjoyable.

A great rainy-day attraction near Wallops Island, the center conducts launches of its model rockets.
A mid-week visit does not lead to many crowds (or staff), which is nice, but the exhibits are sort of haphazard. Some cool items - like the interactive touchscreen presentations, the infrared camera, and the moon rock - but overall seems sort of tired. The rusting rockets in the back made it seem more like a private roadside attraction than the gateway to a NASA facility that employs 10,000 scientists and engineers.

Recently invited to play this unique and fun course and to pretend we were playing in the British Open or The Masters. The course is great with lots of variety. I'm not a very good golfer but I had a lot of fun today.
My only suggestion would be more frequent mowing inasmuch as I lost lots of balls just barely off the groomed fairways in grass that was too tall and frequently hid my golf ball. I also noticed that the greens were in rough shape for mid-May. In some cases my GPS-constrained golf cart would not allow me to go where my ball landed which was a minor issue.
Staff were very welcoming and were great upon dispatch and receipt at the beginning and ending of our day.
We found a great price using an app. We will certainly play here again!

Easy access, well maintained park. Helpful efficient staff. A bit expensive, we tend to splurge on larger ticket packages. Only drag is its only 1 loop at a time, requiring a virtual stop to hand off the ticket for the next lap. But the staff is quite good at grabbing on the go.

Great place to walk, sit, and take pictures. There are plenty of free parking. A little something for everyone. Nice sized soccer fields, baseball fields and 3/4 mile walking loop. There are basketball courts, skate park and huge play ground. You can fish in the summer or your can rent a area for a cookout. July 4th is always packed and they have a huge fireworks display.

Had the opportunity to take a tour of the mansion this past Saturday (Sept 21) while attending an event entitled Jazz on the Lawn. Thourougly enjoyed the occasion. Our guide during the tour was an elderly woman who didn't have the most pleasant disposition I might add but most of the tourists overlooked it. While on the tour someone raises the question if Duval High School was named after Gabriel Duvall. She curtly answered and said "not really". A little later another toursist asked where were the slaves buried and again she answered and said "well they weren't buried here"! I was a bit taken aback at her attitude that clearly exuded she didn't act as if she wanted to be there. I also was a little put off because she acted as if the questions bein asked were offensive.
I did a bit of research myself and found that Duval High School was indeed named after Gabriel Duvall! I have not done the research that will answer the slave burial but trust me I will! Save for the encounter with the tour guide it was quite interesting. It is amazing how much history is right here in our own backyard in Prince George's County. I am looking forward to attending more events at Marietta and this has driven me to make a list of other historical homes within the county to visit! By the way, do let the tour guide know that Duval High was named after Gabriel Duvall.

This is your typical minor league stadium. There are not a lot of frills but there are some things for the kids like a merry-go-round. The food was average and priced as expected for this type of event. Parking was free which was a huge plus in my book. And tickets for the game were reasonable. Great way to spend the day.

The largest science and environmental education center in the Department of the Interior.
We've been driving through Maryland looking for national parks, historic sites, and well-advertised places of interest---the words "Visitor Center" drew us off the road every time. Those words caught our attention along the Baltimore-Washington Parkway and drew us into one of the most worthwhile stops on our vacation. Beyond the beautiful scenery and opportunities to hike in the area, there is a visitors' center of such imagination that it's a popular site for teachers to bring students during the year. This site sets the bar so high you might consider not bothering a visit to others.

My family and I love going to this farm for our pumpkins. The prices are great and the staff is always friendly. They have smaller pumpkins for the little ones, farm animals (goats, chickens, turkeys), a corn maze, and of course, a ton of pumpkins to choose from!
