As of the 2010 United States Census, the borough's population was 8,187, reflecting a decline of 62 (-0.8%) from the 8,249 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 425 (+5.4%) from the 7,824 counted in the 1990 Census.

After not going to a theater for many many years, we went here to see a small independent film. Tickets during the day were just $5 each and that cannot be beat. The theater itself was a bit small, but seats were comfy and floor was clean. Street parking in the area is available, although I am sure it may get tough on the weekends.

The north section in Leonia has been open for many years but last year, the southern part was renovated, a new environmentally friendly bridge was installed to cross the Overpeck; new playing fields in the Ridgefield Park section, walking/biking/jogging trails begin in Leonia and head over to Ridgefield Park. Amphitheater on the Ridgefield Park side has had concerts. Watch the horses go through their paces on the Leonia side. Dog park is on the north side, kayak/canoe launch on the south side. Load s of parking and beautiful views of the creek/lake. Incredible to have this treasure 5 minutes from the GWB. Bus 172 from the NY side of the GWBBS takes you down Fort Lee Road to the entrance of the park (or Rockland Bus line 11A runs on Grand Avenue and stops at Fort Lee Road (2 blocks east of the park). If you're in the Ridgefield Park side watching the kids in the playing field and look east, you'll see the skyline of midtown Manhattan (and the World Trade Center).

Had fun with Kayaking. The Kayak rentals are to the right of Fort Lee Road/Overpeck Park Driveway intersection, via the wooden bridges. The staff there were quite friendly and helpful. Just a note that Canoes are not available everyday there, so better inquire before visiting. Kids under 5 are not allowed, and kids under 8 are allowed on canowe ONLY with two accompanying adults.Also went to the dinosaurs field station nearby.

We love the Bergen County Zoo. It is a family favorite! We are members and they have many great activities all year long! Wonderful new updates and fantastic programs. My kids go to their zoo camp for a week in the summer as well! Love it!

no frills 4 floors of simple delight. service is readily available though usually without a smile. clean, reliable, well worth the money. the design is atrocious but oh well... you can't have everything. the point is in the heat that's readily available really everywhere, starting with the worm floors and going all the way to the hottest/largest sauna next to the juice joint. smaller less hot saunas are also abundant as are places to rest including cozy corners where one can simply lay on the worm ceramic floor. overall, an excellent half day of the whole day trip to rejuvenation. highly recommended, especially in the cold seasons.

Bergenpac is located conveniently in the center of Englewood, there is ample parking around and many good restaurants nearby.
The venue is spacious and seating is very comfortable and sound is pretty good too.
The venue is used for anything from community events to world class performers.
They do a lot of education and local community outreach.
It is a local gem, offering drama and variety, comedy shows, classical music and ballet and more.
The volunteers and staff are very nice and responsive as well.
Good for everyone really, including older patrons and families with younger children depending on performance.

Last night was at the bar at the Hilton, Hasbrouck Heights, NJ, noticed 3 beer tap lines which I have never seen before: Brix City.
Today I looked up Brix City Brewing online, located not too far from the hotel. Went there, met the owner. Had a flight of their beers. Very good beer guys! Toured their brew house. Nice variety of beers.
I have been to other breweries in NJ, this is the best so far!

This is a great museum, especially if you're an aviation enthusiast. There's lots to read, some interactive exhibits, especially on the first floor, and the museum covers just about all eras and aspects of aviation and some space travel. I enjoyed watching the orientation video and the video from the International Space Station, in particular. The museum held the attention of a teenage friend of my son's who is unaccustomed to museums and was not as familiar with space and aviation, as my son, who has been to many museums, especially those pertaining to air and space. The workers were very knowledgeable, and are happy to answer questions. There are some planes to look at on the grounds, as well; we just couldn't figure out how to get out there to see them.

I've been coming to the Teaneck Creek Conservancy for twenty years. When my children were very young, they called it the "wasteland park" because it was very overgrown and there were lots of discarded, rusty items. There are huge cement pipes that are unmovable. But since then, the pipes have been painted. the reeds/invasive species have been removed, the old rusty items have also been removed, there is a lovely garden, a labyrinth, a nice picnic area, and some other unusual attractions. The trail is beautiful.
The Puffin Foundation, which shares a parking lot with the Teaneck Creek Conservancy, "has sought to open the doors of artistic expression by providing grants to artists and art organizations who are often excluded from mainstream opportunities due to their race, gender, or social philosophy." (This comes from their mission statement). So the park also has some unusual sculptures and artwork.
The down side is that there are rather stagnant ponds and in the summertime, there are a lot of mosquitoes. But still, I highly recommend the place.
