I walked on the Belmar NJ boardwalk many times during August 2020. It is about two miles long so a round trip is four miles. To the north end is a bridge between Belmar and Avon by the Sea and the Belmar fishing pier. In the middle is the Taylor Pavilion and Cruz Bay Cafe as well as Silver Lake. To the south are some shops and restaurants and the entrance to Spring Lake. The boardwalk is very wide and it is great for walking and exercise. Sometimes I went very early in the morning - about 7 am and sometimes I went late at about 6 pm. The views of the beach and ocean are very nice. In terms of COVID19 safety, some people wore masks but many did not. If you are alert while walking then you can social distance. All in all the Belmar NJ boardwalk is a great place.

Booked a whale/dolphin watching tour on the Sea Eagle Belmar NJ. At first I thought the boat was small, and would feel every wave, not the case. We felt very comfortable on the boat. What a day!! Whales! right beside the boat. Dolphins The captain and his first mate were awesome! They had such enthusiasm, when they saw the whales. It was amazing to see that although they are out there everyday seeing the whales, they still get as excited as we did ! I recommend this boat very highly!

Ate at BeachHaus Bar & Grill on a Thursday night in late April. Reservations not needed, but glad to hear that they take reservations on weekends, which would be needed in the busy season. Fabulous food and attentive service. We had the huge Bavarian pretzel and a beet salad to start, and shared a short rib pizza, which was plenty for two adults. A few glasses of California cabernet and a Swash wheat beer complimented the food very well. Other dishes that looked great were steak frites, salmon and branzino. Note that the restaurant side has the full menu and the bar side has appetizers, sandwiches/burgers. I prefer the restaurant side since it has tables for 2, 4 and a few hightops; the bar side is a bit more informal (but has a great deck). We were too full for dessert, but will save room for it next time. Very nice night in a beautiful shore town!

Did a random search for cupcakes while in the Belmar area today for my sisters birthday. I was lucky that Sweet! was nearby. We bought 4 different flavors and all were DELICIOUS! Let the cupcake set at room temp for a bit to fully enjoy the icing! Highly recommend!!
