We snowshoed at Bear Notch three days ago and had an amazing experience. The trails were groomed to perfection and we were met by a staffer who was knowledgeable and attentive. We spent about three hours on the trails and really enjoyed the trails by the river. An added bonus was when we happened upon a moose, quietly munching on some local vegetation. We shoed quietly by and got some incredible photos. Just get out and experience the outdoors, folks. Getting your feet snowy is a great way to spend the day!

We had a great time snowmobiling with Northern extremes in Bartlett (1/19). The location is close to North Conway. The staff was very accommodating in making sure our family of four had all gear needed. Todd was our tour guide for our three hour tour around bear notch Road. Todd was patient and thorough with instructions on using the machines. The sleds were brand new. As we grew more confident in handling machines, Todd adjusted pace so we could go a bit faster and have more fun. The scenery was amazing, peaceful and beautiful. Todd had us stop at beautiful overlooks and took our pictures. I didn’t want trip to end. We had so much fun. I enjoyed watching my older boys become comfortable and confident on machines. They had such a great time! Would highly recommend to families.

Story Land – where fantasy lives! Story Land is a safe and natural setting where children and their imaginations can run free. We provide a great value to our guests every day, with all-inclusive rides, shows & attractions, reasonably-priced admission ticket, FREE parking, and FREE pet kennels. Featuring birthday parties and character dinners, Story Land is a celebration for the young at heart. This world of fantasy is punctuated by the kaleidoscope of flowers and emerald fields of New Hampshire’s beautiful White Mountains. Timeless characters like Humpty Dumpty, the Old Woman in the Shoe, the Three Little Pigs, and Peter Rabbit came to life here in 1954.
Family of 4 (6 year old daughter and 3 yr old son) enjoyed a day at the park. Lots of rides - kids must be 36 inches to ride with an adult (48 inches to ride alone) which worked well for us. Good assortment of easy rides, fast rides, spinning rides (some are bit much - Turtles), water rides, and exciting speed up and down rides. We also had tea with Cinderella (adults do NOT need a ticket and I recommend NOT getting one!) - cute and the kids loved it. DInner with the characters at then end of the day (6pm) is pretty good - visited by each of the 6 characters and then a dance party for the kids. Long day - sleeping kids on the way back to our hotel.

Since 1965, the Covered Bridge Shoppe has been a favorite stop for travelers in our valley. We feature a distinctive collection of country home decor items including candles and accessories, pillows, wall art and pottery, flags, garden art, chimes, plush animals and more at reasonable prices in a friendly atmosphere. In addition, we offer a full line of souvenirs including a great selection of T-shirts. We are open everyday from the end of May through October - 10AM - 5PM
On my most-recent trip to the towns from Ossipee to Intervale, I went beyond to revisit the Covered Bridge Shoppe in Glen. The shop is actually inside the bridge which is beside US-302 and is owned by the Covered Bridge House B & B. The path through most of the bridge into the shop was lined with decorative flags for sale. I stopped to admire and photograph several of them. Inside the shop, I looked over most of the merchandise that included souvenirs, items for the home, jewelry, T-shirts, sweatshirts, sports caps, candles, plush animals, toys, maple syrup, jam, etc. Although everything was of excellent quality and attractive, there was nothing that jumped off a shelf at me on this trip, but it was fun to browse and see many pretty things. I rate the Covered Bridge Shoppe at 5.0. If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below.

Ripley Falls is at the end of a half mile hike in through trees and rocks. It is a great workout, as you are climbing both up and down throughout the hike, but it is beautiful in among the trees, and you can hear the water almost the whole way. The end result is a fantastic waterfall coming down a sheer rock wall. My husband and I really lucked out in that almost our entire time there, we were the only ones on the path, and we had the waterfall to ourselves for a while. Definitely worth the time.

Mother nature was not kind to the ski mountains in early January this year, but our 2 days snowboarding at Attitash were still awesome. They clearly have skilled snowmakers and are dedicated to creating a great experience even without the help of natural snow. We heard snow is in the forecast this week tho, so we'll be back in a few weeks!
