Arrived on Saturday morning and dropped in for all the latest information on the area. The staff member on duty was friendly and full of local information - very helpful. Nice selection of local produce, gifts and souvenirs to purchase and a wide selection of maps and brochures. Make this your first stop.

Summerland Farm is a beautiful macadamia and avocado farm set high on the hills of the Alstonville plateau overlooking the Ballina coastline. This multi-award winning attraction is yours to explore. Voted both Alstonville and Ballina’s ‘Best Tourist Attraction’, you can spend a day, taste the region and soak in the beautiful North Coast hinterland.
Great for young families. Plenty of space for a picnic and the shop has heaps of variety of local produce and goods. Gotta visit again!

Had a lovely walk, beautiful spot. The sea was rough, wow, but, how wonderful to see. There was a class of high school kids, well behaved and enjoyed the excursion.

Best to go after it has rained and there is a decent waterflow. Waterfall was flowing well when we went so the water was nice and clean. Beautiful spot, best in the morning when there aren't many people doing the walk. Not far from the car park. Lots of mosquitos when we went.

They really grow the prawns up in the Richmond River and at $35 a kilo for king prawns it’s worth a fortune. Seriously it’s big, it’s gaudy and so typically Australian. It’s brilliant and worth going to Bunnings for.

The Macadamia Castle has been the areas most popular activity destination for over 38 years. Entry is free to the Cafe, Nut Bar, Gift Shop, Fine Food section and Macadamia Nut information display. There is a daily programme of interactive activities in the Animal Park with over 200 native and farmyard animals. We have hands on experiences with our salt water crocodiles and many other animals. There are 9 keeper talks between 10.30 and 4pm where you can get up close to the animals. An ideal outing for the family, and a great destination when discovering the district. There is a very reasonable admission charge to the animal park and mini golf. A relaxing stop for fresh homestyle food, coffee, kids activities or education.
What a hidden Gem away from the highway. So glad to encounter this hidden gem. One of the fun activities to go around the area since Coffs Harbour is further down. Fun for kids with animal encounter, petting, talk show, putt putt, mini waterparks etc. Cafe also has excellent food of sweet pancake, savory pancake, breakfast and lunch menu. Yum yum yum!!
