North Wildwood is clean, quiet, residential but Close enough to the boardwalk. The coupons and literature in the hotels will help you to figure out where you want to eat, go for entertainment, take the kids. Everything is close by and convenient.

The Cape May County Zoo is such a beautiful Zoo, the grounds are well kept, the animals are well cared for. The admission is free! Just be kind and give a donation as you drive in! I’ve been going to this Zoo for thirty years since I live 5 minutes away, took my kids every week, great playgrounds and places for picnics too. A must see if you’re coming to Cape May County besides beaches and boardwalk

This nature center features exhibits on local marine life, along with activities like kayaking and dune walks.
Our group of five (including a 4 1/2 year old) visited the Wetlands on a cloudy day with rain expected. First we saw a short movie (which could be updated to include more recent information perhaps) as well as a brief introduction by a guide. She was very knowledgeable and explained everything so that it was easily understood. It turned out that she was also our guide for a tour of the salt marsh. It was fascinating to learn about the osprey, the terrapins, their mating habits and egg laying, the mud in the marsh, the grasses etc. There was a walkway that took us through the marsh as we learned. Our granddaughter said that she really liked learning "so much". We also visited the aquarium and felt the exhibits there were very well done. Another highlight was the fishing. The guide helped our granddaughter and other little ones cast a small net and pull in some little shrimps and crabs! She was able to see how these little creatures hid in the grasses and dirt and when caught would jump around in the water bucket! What a treat! Finally we browsed in the gift shop. It had an excellent collection of books for children that continued the learning process. The Wetlands Institute was the perfect place to go on a non-beach day!

My son was DYING to do mini-golf, as we haven't made it there the last few times we were at the shore. We were staying in Stone Harbor, and the local mini-golf places were closed as it was off-season. A gentleman at the local pizza...MoreThank you for such a detailed review. We do really appreciate it. We feel like all the Pirate Island Golf Courses are the best in the area, and we want as many families as possible to come and make some memories with us next year!

Imagine soaring high above the Atlantic Ocean in a specially designed parachute while being towed behind a high tech speed boat. Our custom built winchboats are “state of the art”, utilizing a hydraulic launch and recovery system. This provides for easy take-off and landings directly from the flight deck of the boat. Each ride is under control for an effortless ocean thrill ride.
We told the kids if their report cards were good for the last semester, they would get to go parasailing.
With good grades, we had breakfast on Sunset Pier then walked the few steps to the parasailing. My daughter was nervous and my son was excited and they did a tandem flight. By the time it was done, they didn't want to leave.
They enjoyed the crew and said the flight was quiet and they could see everything. They saw dolphins from up high and thought they could see Wildwood.
Great experience, next time my wife and I go!

Avalon and Stone Harbor are the two towns on this barrier island.
If you are looking for a beach that is quieter than Ocean City but still has a lot to do this is a great option. Beach Tags are required but there is a lot of beach and places to park all your gear and hunker down for the day. Parking was easier to achieve; it wasn't metered and you didn't have to pay to park in a lot. It is metered along the shopping.
We usually arrive in the morning and stay till afternoon and while there are a lot of people the beach still seems pleasant. Everyone was friendly and the our little ones had a great time playing in the sand; running around and enjoying the ocean.

This is a must say for people who are walking the wall in Wildwood and just need a bit of a respite from the heat. You enter this very magical garden with the most beautiful flowers and I'm going to assume that it is taken care of by volunteers. It's a beautiful place for pictures or just a beautiful place to sit and have your coffee.

Great parasailing trip with great captain and mate. Thoroughly explained the process, what to expect and sights to watch for. Provided good tips for parent and child duos (ages 8 and age 11) on what to do so we all felt prepared. Definitely opt-in for the photo package as it is difficult to capture photos while the boat is moving and the action is going so quickly. Each grouping had adequate time to glide and got a "toe-dip" in the ocean if they chose to get wet. Much more serene and relaxed than we anticipated.

Fishing and Cruising aboard the 78 ft luxury fishing yacht Miss Avalon 2 half day trips 8 am - noon 1 pm - 5 pm Fathers day to Labor day Evening sunset and dolphin watching Tuesday and Thursday 6:30 to 8 pm Private fishing and party cruises . 6 and 8 hour trips spring and fall . Blackfish, Sea Bass, Porgies and stripers. April and May. October, November and December. Super clean and friendly crew. Closest to fishing grounds. Fast and comfortable. We added a NEW bay bay fishing and crabbing boat. NO seasickness FAMILY OWNED and operated since 1952
The crew was great and the boat was nice. Unfortunately, the day we went was very crowded and not many people caught fish. Might have moved the boat too much to find a better spot to find fish but that didn't leave much time for rods in the water. It takes about 45 minutes to get out and 45 to get back. So they need to make better use of the fishing time. Overall, it was a great boat trip and lots of family fun.
