We stopped to check this place out and are so glad we did. We were able to taste the beer before ordering and were able to find a beer for our different tastes. The man serving the beer was very friendly and helpful. We were pleased to see that we could fill growlers too. We didn't try any of the appetizers but plan to on our return.

Decided to go to the track for a few races. Beautiful day. Grounds were in excellent condition. What a great selection of concessions. Almost everything you could ask for. We had ice cream before we left, delicious. Many paramutual windows to get your bets in. Off track betting was available as well. Rewards program is pretty good if you gamble. Now they have a casino upstairs where you can play cards. Handicapping center available for the beginner 's. Nice day with the family.

So much space and so much to see in this garden. I enjoyed the many trails, plants, pond, creek, artwork, birds (including peacocks), and fresh air. There’s no charge to enter, they have a donation box to help with keep the garden running. They have signs that say to wear a mask and everyone did put their masks on while walking past each other. It felt safe during this pandemic to wander these gardens with other responsible people. I took a photo of the map in the beginning, I’m glad I did. There are many small trails not on the map, you can easily spend over an hour here walking down all the paths. I’d definitely visit again.

Pioneer Cemetery is the resting place for some of Auburn's earliest residents, primarily from the Japanese American community, and their descendants. Japanese immigrants (Issei) and their American born children (Nisei) became the primary users and stewards of the cemetery. Today burials at Pioneer Cemetery are rare, as space is limited to descendants of those already buried on site.
The City of Auburn neglected the history of its Japanese pioneers (as represented in this cemetery) until very recently. The local Japanese population was interned (mostly in Tule Lake and Minidoka) in 1942 and remained imprisoned until the end of WWII. Only about 10% of the community was able to return to Auburn after the war. This cemetery and its Japanese-language tombstones is one of the only remaining artifacts of Auburn's once vibrant Japanese (and Japanese-American) community. For a more complete history of the community represented in the Auburn Pioneer Cemetery see: auburnpioneercemtery-dot-net.

This city park offers a playground for kids as well as several baseball and soccer fields. The Green River multi-use trail also runs through the park and to the north, offering a great, level trail for walkers and bikers.
