From here you will get a mesmerising view of the Boot shaped Jhorpokhri Lake and on a clear day Morning you will get the View of Kanchenjunga . The view might not be that of what we get in pelling or Rishav but definitely worth a view.Communication is also good with good road condition.

We have visited in mid February, wether was changing in every 10 minutes, sometimes it's suny, suddenly full of cloud then slight drizzle/light snow fall. White all around. Breth taking view and unexplainable in words.

Nestled at an elevation of 4600 ft (1,400 m), Lampokhari Lake is a breathtakingly attractive, boot-shaped Lake at Aritar in the Eastern region of Sikkim. Endowed with an emerald hue, Lampokari Lake is a pristine visual treat to the eyes. It is also known to be the oldest natural freshwater lakes in Sikkim. On a trip to Aritar, apart from Lampokhri and Mankhim view point, it is the most happening place, here one can have experience the Buddhist culture, thanka, wall paintings, and many little monks who used to have their lessons on Buddhism here. Spend some time, explore the monastery, have some chats with little friends, and dont forget to visit the Buddha statue over Lampokhri, just little walk from Minastery entrance
