This church, built in the 1280s, was originally the church of the Franciscan monks here. Standing at the eastern end of the town centre, It has beautiful medieval wall paintings dating back to the 14th century. There is quite a substantial booklet on sale, describing its history, the paintings, the architecture etc. The notorious Swedish convict Lasse-Maja, famous for his autobiography from the 1830s, worked/lived/committed crimes dressed as a man or as a woman, and is buried near the church.

Historical City Centre with boutiques, museums and unique architecture.

Arboga museum – is located in the merchant building "The Örström house”, built in 1846 by the merchant Anders Örström. The house has been renovated and its period rooms and features are a great asset to Arboga. The museum houses a photographic archive,a library, and a collection of silver, tin and alder root. In the house are also facilities for Exhibitions and other events.
