Bean Point

This is a beautiful spot, right on the northern end of Anna Maria Island. Parking is scarce (we found one close, due to a nice local who let us park in front of their home), but there is a public park just over 1/2 mile down, which you can park at, and walk to Bean Point. We went one evening for a lovely sunset, and then again during the daytime. You have excellent views of downtown St. Petersburg, and the Sunshine Skyway Bridge on the Tampa Bay side, and also nice beach area on the Gulf of Mexico. This is a MUST DO, on any trip to Anna Maria Island!

Small shopping plaza with everything you need right at the beach, wash stations, excellent free parking, the only downside the beach has is that 2 in under the sand are tons of tiny shells... But considering all else, this is a great Beach!!!!!!

We would recommend going here. Stay as close to the beach as there is access to lots of restaurants and fun things to do. We just walked across the street to get to the beach. The weather in November was warm. The water was warm enough to go into. but there were people going into the water. We relaxed a lot.

Holmes Beach is one of the more impressive beaches. White powder sand, plenty of shelling opportunities and not too crowded in some of the beach access points. It is a very clean beach and multiple sandbars offer the opportunity to wade out in about knee deep water to get to the sandbar where it rises to about mid calf.

Great beach with lifeguards present and nearby restrooms. Parking a tad tricky on weekends but if you drive around for a while you succeed. Never too crowded for fun and the water is beautiful. We found some sharks teeth. Restaurants nearby. And a trip to the N Jetty is fun. There is a quirky little shack that houses snacks, beer and wine close to parking on the jetty.
