We had a great time discovering the street art of Nieuw-West in Amsterdam, with a lovely, friendly, well-informed guide to tell us about the history of the different art works...highly recommended!

We highly recommend a visit to Sloterplas as it's an amazing and relaxing place where lots of people gather to spend time together, practice sports or simply to walk around the lake. The whole loop around the lake is quite long and can take more than a hour. We suggest to reach the boat rental on the eastern bank to rent a kayak or a boat and sail along the canals and in the middle of the lake. The surrounding area offers lots of cafes and restaurants and is linked with the city center by public means (around 20-30 minutes from Amsterdam Centraal).
