The city is located in the Chapada dos Veadeiros and, since 2001, in the environmental protection area (APA) of Pouso Alto. Alto Paraíso is about 220km from Brasilia/DF and 412km from Goiânia/GO. Alto Paraíso is located in the central Brazilian Highlands, a region characterized by the cerrado biome, also known as the Brazilian savannah. The region offers many natural and cultural attractions related to the ecotourism.

It’s a beautiful waterfall located in Fazenda São Bento. During the rain period (december to February) the flow of the waters is even higher. The track is easy, and you can park your car inside the farm area. It costa R$ 40,00 to visit three waterfalls in Fazenda São Bento.

This place is beautiful and different... The shape of the rocks resembles the lunar formation... There is also a well for bathing, but it isn’t very large. It's pretty good, I recommend it!
